If you normally leave your computer on 24/7 anyway, you'll bearly notice a difference.

If you normally shut down your computer or allow it to go into standby, there will be a small difference. Depending on your going rate for electricity, my guess is you'll end up with approximately $10-$15 more per month.

Computers ON but at 100% system idle is about 80% of the wattage use as with 100% Seti. According to the measurements I've taken. See my data in this post about all my systems (except my new one)

Thanks for the post, I'm going to be adding a few 270 cpus(If My H8DCE motherboard works still, One day It stopped working after I'd shut It down and It wouldn't power up again, SM said the 560w psu was at fault as It should be powered by at least a 645w psu instead) and 4 "core 2 quad" cpus(1-ABIT AW9D-MAX 975X and 3-Intel D975XBX2 Bad Axe 2 motherboards).

Thelmores keep this quiet If You see this post, I don't want the B's knowing yet.;)

I have 10 machines running full time and my bill is in the $30 range per month for them. (9 machines at 600W total and I haven't measured the other yet, my cost is about $0.07 a kWh).

I highly recomend you get a "kil-a-watt" device. Very useful.
