How about Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb I saw Roger Waters live once. Ahhh, the sweet smell when the lights went out!

How about Cyndi Lauper in Another Brick in the Wall from Berlin 1990?

That guitar solo, man...

And this is my alltime best video for 1990:

Adamski's Killer featuring Seal.

Killer

About the video, I worked in a residential home for children and teens, and one day, almost right after I started, one of the kids came to me, while I was doing something, and he asked me if I ever watched Mtv. I said yes, and then he asked me which video I really liked. I told him that I really liked Killer, but he didn't know it. A couple of days later, when I came on shift again, he came to me and told me that now he had seen the video, and it was a cool video. I scored big time on my rep among the kids with that video!

And it is cool. Some of the first electronica from that time...

Kate Bush had her debut with this song Wuthering Heights, which was very impressing. I think she caught the attention of most people with her vocal and later with this video. It was one of the first made, and I only saw the white one.

Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights, the white one

About the video(s):

Two music videos were created to accompany "Wuthering Heights". In one version, Bush can be seen performing the song in a dark room filled with white mist while wearing a white dress; in the other, the singer lip-syncs in an outdoor environment while wearing a red dress.

Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights, the red one

And personally, I prefer the white one...

And the song "Cloudbusting" made me buy her album Hounds of Love, even it's filled with great songs.

Kate Bush - Cloudbusting

About the video:

The album also yielded a set of videos, the most famous of which is "Cloudbusting", directed by Julian Doyle, co-starring movie star Donald Sutherland and inspired by the life of psychologist Wilhelm Reich.

If you want to know how Foamy's "father" really sounds like, this video is from his second album. I have only heard his first album, as I downloaded it, and the second is not available in iTunes yet, so I can't judge about the lyrics in this song. I can only say that the lyrics on his first album are just as sharp as Foamy's oppinions.

But take a look and hear Foamy's "voice"

Jonathan Ian: Dear Maiden (Quicktime Video)

He says about it himself:

"Also, there's a video available for the song "Dear Maiden". Don't expect too much, it was made using public domain footage from the Prelinger Collection, so there's no high-tech fancy stuff goin' on. It's just something to watch.

Later.
J.I."

A classic from the 80' is Tears for Fears: Mad World

About the video is not much to say about, except it's easy to see it's one of the earliest musicvideos made, and that I thought, the first time I saw it "what the f*** is he doing out in that garden?" about Roland's performance in it. The lipsync is not good either.

But take a look yourself, the song is a great popsong, covered by many:

One of the greatest rock opera's is Tommy by The Who.

It was made as a movie directed by Ken Russel and produced by Ken Russel and Robert Stigwood.

One of the songs from Tommy is Cousin Kevin played by Paul Nicholas:

Cousin Kevin

Lyrics:

We're on our own, cousin,
All alone, cousin.
Let's think of a game to play
Now the grown-ups have all gone away.
You won't be much fun
Being blind, deaf and dumb.
But I've no-one to play with today.
Do you know how to play hide-and-seek?
To find me it would take you a week,
But tied to that chair
You won't go anywhere
There's a lot I can do with a freak.
How would you feel if I
Turned on the bath,
Ducked your head under
And started to laugh?
What would you do if I shut you outside,
To stand in the rain
And catch cold so you died?

I'm the school bully!
The classroom cheat.
The nastiest playfriend
You ever could meet.
I'll stick pins in your fingers
And tread on your feet...

Maybe a cigarette burn on your arm
Would change your expression
To one of alarm.
I'll drag you round by a lock of your hair
Or give you a push
At the top of the stairs...

I'm the school bully!
The classroom cheat.
The nastiest playfriend
You ever could meet.
I'll put glass in your dinner
And spikes in your seat...

Another more famous song is Pinball Wizard played by Elton John:

I'll try to find some of the others of my favorites from the album, such as Amazing Journey, Acid Queen, Christmas, and Sally Simpson.

I found Amazing Journey. Tommy's mother is played by Ann-Margret and Frank Hobbs, Tommy's stepfather is played by Oliver Reed.

And Acid Queen played by Tina Turner:

Tommy: Acid Queen

Yes, this scene in the movie is weird, and it's a long download, almost 9 minutes, but it goes well to the movie's psychedelic feeling, and Tina Turner is great as the Acid Queen.
