This is because of OLD boinc which dont support flopcounting... and high benchmarks + long WU crunch times... :) nothing unusual =]

Hello!

But when they will support only Boinc V5.2.6 and later...?

Greetings!

Once someone ports a stable BOINC over to Solaris computers. As long as they stay in the list of supported out of the box computers, its version stays at 4.43 and all 4.xx versions stay supported.

Hello!

Then just now a new Boinc version must write for Solaris/SPARC PCs...! :-)

...I cannot... ;-)

Greetings!

Someone with an actual Solaris/SPARC and knowledge of how to port BOINC over. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

You are still believing that SAH is a multi million dollar corporation, not a shoe-string project run by a couple of people, 8 at most.

BOINC itself is done by 3 paid people, plus a couple of volunteer developers.

The new BOINC version is in Alpha test now (30+ alpha testers, all volunteers).
Once 5.6.x stable is released they may want to look at it again. Until that time, these things are probably a far away thing on their mind. Not that anyone from Seti is reading much around here anyway. ;-)

No, I don´t think so...!

I believe at the thoughts/ background in S@H and that´s the reason that my PC is running 24/7!

(I built this PC only for S@H!)

Greetings!

I have build a boinc 5.4.9 for Solaris, but I need still to test it.
