Hi, I started using boinc two days ago, from home, and it worked fine. Now, at work, I can only download. I'm under a proxy connection so, at first, I thought it was a proxy problem, but as I also said, I CAN download. Thanks for help. |

Please post the last 20 to 30 messages from your messages tab. And for the record, state what operating system you use and which BOINC version. |

By the way, I took my pc back home and it worked...maybe it's really a proxy problem... |

That's possible. The version details on 5.4.9 do say this: If you use a proxy server, please hold off upgrading for now. We have a fix in the works for proxies that use NTLM authentication. |

So what do you suggest? Should I downgrade my Boinc client or I can "accumulate" a lot of results and then send them back after some days, whan I take my pc back home? Thanks! |

I'd say, for now downgrade. Read this post by Pepo explaining a thing or two and my post below that which points to optional versions to download & use. By just crunching and not being able to upload, you'll only shoot yourself in the foot when you get across a couple of results with the 4 day deadline. Not in time uploaded&reported means no credit (if that is what you live for, at least ;)). So uninstall 5.4.9 and install either 5.4.5 or better yet 5.3.31 (that is a beta version, but at least it still works great with proxies of all sorts). |

I'll do that...by uninstalling Boinc 5.4.9 and installing the older version, right? I'll retain my credits, my subscriptions and my preferences too, because they are on servers, right? Any suggestion before I proceed? Thanks a lot again :-) |

Any suggestion before I proceed? Only uninstall BOINC through Add/Remove Programs and immediately install one of the older clients to the same BOINC directory you were using before. |

When will it be available? I have 20+ units that are going to expire if I do not upload them... Thx J If you use a proxy server, please hold off upgrading for now. We have a fix in the works for proxies that use NTLM authentication.[/quote] |

When will it be available? I have 20+ units that are going to expire if I do not upload them... That's a good question that I have no answer on. So for now use an earlier version that can do it. |

Tried everything from version 5.4.5 back to 4.45...simply doesn't work. I also deleted the Boinc folder after uninstall with no success, so I turned back to version 5.4.9...I will upload my units at home... |
