"August 26, 2004 We fixed the bogus URL bug and all servers are back up. If your cache is empty of all valid workunits and you have any of the bogus workunits, then reset the project". Yes, and HOW do I "reset the project"? Thx~ |

Open BOINC Click the 'Projects' tab. Right-click on 'SETI@Home' and select 'Reset project' |

How many times are we going to have to lose all the stored WUs just because of some lousy stinking bug!?!? Not to mention, there won't be any WUs to download because they can't keep up with demand! I don't know whether to laugh or cry! |

You have only to reset the project if you have bogus WU's, these WU's are in the tab "Transfer" as still downloading. I have some 10 of them and had also 10 other WU's that were crunching. What I did is just let the bogus WU's in the state they were, continuing crunching the others. I could upload and report 8 WU's yesterday morning and stopped Boinc still having 2 WU's that are roughly 50% done. Once the servers are back again, I will finish these WU's and after uploading and reporting them make the update of the software. Greetings from Belgium. |
