Your account => results = work unit # Your account => computers => results => Work units Either way gets you to work units and you can check them ... ==== edit Your computers are hidden so I cannot give you direct links. |

There are hundreds of results for the computer in question, Paul. Navigating them has become a chore lately. I want to copy and past the result id into a search form, then click find... any ideas? I am concerned about my new computer crashing Work Units, how can I search the Workunit database by result ID's to verify that the other user are getting the same results? If your results are getting validated then your computer is ok. You have your computers hidden so we can't help you any more than that. |

If you know the Result ID just use the Result page and paste in the new id number in the URL. If all you know is the Result Name, then, no, no search form. And it is not likely to ever be created. I grant you may have hundreds of results, I have even have had thousands, but, going off the results link and scanning for client error/0 credit takes little time. |

At the moment one looks at Boinc, and you see WU name. EG, 04mr05ab.17753.25218.279820.1.81_1 then when you look at the results for any computer you see reslult ID......WU ID 193826025.......46261071 Not very helpful, I agree. It takes an age to find the result on the web that ties into a file name in Boinc. Countn't it be possable for the "results for computer" page to display the name for the result, rather than the ID number? OR For boinc to display the WI ID number, rather than the name? OR For both web and Boinc to display both? As it is, one system works with Apples, and the other with Oranges, as the main way to ID a WU/result. Need improving on, IMHO. ![]() Foamy is "Lord and Master". (Oh, + some Classic WUs too.) |

For boinc to display the WI ID number, rather than the name?Agree, i only have a small cache so it's not a problem for me, but i can imagine it's a real time consumer for those with even a few hundred results this was mentioned in another thread I personally think it's better to have the result ID so that you can find your specific result more easilly than having to work out which one is yours just by looking at the WU table and you'll be able to get to the WU table easilly from your result page anyway :) |
