Neil. Just out of curiosity...I checked my stats on your site, the last update was 06:37:30 25/07/2004 BST...credit: 1757.xx, when I checked my stats in my profile here they read 1784.76... Is the lag due to the downtime we just went through? Thnx Kind Regards, Xi3 <a> [/url] |

The XML stats files at berkeley have not been updated for a few days now. I suspect he is getting his data from there like the rest of us running stats. If they don't update we can't update. Hopefully things will go back to working soon. |

From what I remember reading, Neil is pulling data from html code by looking at the user page and isn't pulling from the xml files. The data is pulled once every 8 hours for each person, and uses a cached version in between. With the project being down for maintenance every so often, Neil can't access the user page to update the data. Eventually it should update itself. Disclaimer: I'm not Neil and the above information may not be 100% correct. This is just what I've read from various locations. :) --- Jabber Status: |

Hi, ED is correct: my site parses the HTML from the stats pages. When your graphic is loaded, the script checks with the DB to see when your stats were last updated. If the stats pages cannot be loaded or if it has been less than 8 hours since your stats were last saved, then the cached version is used. If however, this is not the case, then your stats are updated. Having said this... Xi3's stats should have been updated. Having checked my scripts, I found that I had forgot to finish off a piece of coding I was doing the other day to improve the parsing and as a consequence of this, the DB was not updated. I have now updated all my BOINC stats sites and user's graphics are now updating. Thanks for pointing it out! Looks like Neil's been sleeping even more, since now the Seti2 site and the Predictor site are one and the same, the Seti2 sigs show something between User ID does not exist and a weird thing with missing pictures (since the sig points to predictor as well), so I have emailed Neil already to slap him around a bit. ;) ---------------------- Jordâ„¢ |

Hehe, I just emailed Neil on this issue as well. In my case, I am not participating in Predictor, so I have a lovely 'User ID does not exist' sig. No rush Neil, as long as it works by the time the transitioners catch up. LOL! <a> |

Hi all, Thanks for pointing it out - along with many other users! Basically, when updating the site I accidently over wrote the Seti2 config file with the Predictor one which caused the Seti2 scripts to look at the Predictor database. I have since repaired the Seti2 configuration and all is now working. Sincere apologies, Neil Munday http://seti.mundayweb.com http://boinc.mundayweb.com http://www.mundayweb.com/setigraph |

Yeah, thanks Neil! I'd love to create a nice little stat app like yours and donate it to Seti, but alas, I am pathetically unskilled and devoid of talent. Also, my cable line would be so overloaded that my ISP would send a hitman after me! <a> |
