...and are the product of de-evolution.

Q: Are we not MEN?

A: We are D E V O!

A: Meat sacks evolved from lower primates. (We still use less than 10% of our brain capacity, but that was enough to invent religion and war.)

A star trek fan at work keeps calling me that.

In honor of this religious thread and to entertain Orion Blastar, I'm thinking of losing the boring name Colossus. Since I'm rereading Cat's Cradle, the name Bokonon comes to mind. Just can't seem to settle on a name that's worth keeping.

Just letting O.B. know who's the Militant Agnostic in the crowd.

Just a friendly tip: use periods after sentences and capitalize first word in new ones. It makes your messages so much easier to read.

PS to your profile: Wicca has nothing to do with the old Celtic culture. It's a new (age) religion, which takes elements from the Celtic culture and others.

What photo, and what profanities are you refering to. From you diction, it would appear that you are under the influence of some illegal substance, or baring that, you should make an appointment with your physcian immediately since it would appear that you are having delusions a rapture, or other such things that can lead to insanity. And one other thing, you can't become a brain surgeon with a sixth grade education.

And why are you hiding behind your child, that I find particularly offensive.

Frankly, I haven't a clue what you're talking about?! If it's that one with the two girls, get a life, it was a parody. Obviously if you have a child, he/she can probably read and write better than you can.

If I had the honour of being Norwegian I would give you this advice: Vess du fan ikke kan oppfør dæ årntli så ska æ stapp høue ditt opp i ræva di, så kan du sett dær, aleina i mørtna, å prat mannskit me dæ sjøl. Gå og spis en kubæsj!!!

My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.

The cult has had 2,000 years of practice to have an answer for everything, but like "intelligent design," they can't prove a damned thing. Sayings are as sayings go.

Intelligent Design

Now now, don't confuse Intelligent Design for Unintelligent Design or even Stupid Design because the one that is true is Evolution and if you say it isn't, you will invoke a flame war with the Anti-Christian Colation. Do not mess around with them, they sucessfuly got a multi-billion dollar giant company named Coca-Cola to take Santa Claus off of Coca-Cola cans this year, and Santa is not even mentioned in The Bible. :)

Just as long as you don't change your handle as often as or more often than you change your underwear or something.

I never thought that Colossus was boring, he was a very good X-Man and the name of a computer from one of those Sci-Fi movies.

I've never changed my handle on this forum. Come to think of it, maybe I should buy a second set of underwear... :-)

I'm pretty sure the avatar is from the Colossus in the movie "Colossus: The Forbin Project".

I'm not a Christian, but the widespread observance of the holiday does not bother me at all. In fact, for many, this season has become rather secular. Blacks can observe Kwanzaa, Jews have Hanukkah, and even many agnostics will visit with friends and family, sometimes exchanging gifts (which to me, never seemed related to the birth of Christ anyway, but I accept any gifts that may be sent my way).

For those who wish to do so, churches offer Christmas Services, but non-Christians are not required to participate. In fact, there is very little that connects the common customs connected with the holiday with the somewhat distant religious basis for it. As you may know, the date chosen in the 3rd or 4th century for Christmas is based on a pagan day of celebrating the Roman observance of Winter.

So, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you all, no matter what your religious beliefs may be.
