Despite the News in the SETI.Home page, as shown at 06:00 CET (=GMT +2), Wed 31/08/2005,
reading that "August 30, 2005 - We're back online ... ..."
I'm still unable to UL/DL, even contact Seti for new work. This since approx. 10 days, using both Boinc v4.5 & v4.62.

Messages Log does show the following last lines:

You're not the only one who can't UL/DL. I suspect it has something to do with the servers being incredibly busy because of the fact that we just had an incredibly long outage.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Shaun is right (even without quoting the whole post of Roberto).

The servers can't give and take so many workunits we (all the users) want.

it will come to normal within a day or so.

Dear Shaun and Andy,
thanks for your sympathy.
But really I did't understand whether(if) you're actually sharing the same experiences or you've just quoted general information re. servers down and up.
This is only a mere question. No arguing or polemic intention. Thank you.

I managed to D/L WU using HTTP proxy 128.32.18.173 even though Matt said the door was closed but no U/L's. I have managed to U/L 3 or 4 WU since everything came back online but the last 6 I have ready to U/L don't seem to want to leave my PC.

Re-install seti Classic. You would have been crunching WUs throughout the down time. Though you do not get BOINC credit, the whole idea is the search, right?

Since Classic has been taken down to give more bandwidth to Boinc, how is that going to help him? ;)

They probably are sharing your problem like the rest of us are. I am luckey I have some to do, but only a few of the finished ones are uploaded. As the server catches up to all the users it will get back to normal but may take a few more days after a week offline.

You can always attach to another project for a while and help let the backlog of people trying to connect get cleared up. I am running CPDN and only releasing about 3 SETI units to process per day. I have enoughf to last a few days that way.

CPDN is only for it you plan on staying with it, for a short time other projects would be better. When your computer can connect it will go back to working on SETI.

If you want to run boinc and seti there is nothing else to do than to wait or start running a other project or classic seti.
