Boys and Girls, It is message log time again. I need the 3 or 4 line segments from messages recorded. Once again, we are trying to serve and one of the complaints was that we don't have enough examples. Well, I am adding the ones I can invent, but I can't invent them all. I don't have very many messages done, and I do have my own logs with most of the more common message segments. If you look in the Wiki right now, for example, you can see that the Benchmarking process has a decent enough example ... though, if some one has one that is "interesting" I will take that too. You can see at least one other example that I have pretty well done. You can also look at another <a>example[/url] that still needs work ... but at least I have the messages so I have material to work with. http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Message_from_server:_Invalid_or_missing_account_key._Visit_this_project%27s_web_site_to_get_an_account_key So, if you get something interesting, help your fellow BOINCer ... Oh, and if this is not working for you ... now is the time to suggest something about doing it differently ... |

Don't know if you have this from before(?), or can use it for anything, but it's from one incident I had recently. You may not see the hit counts you'd like now, but the user base will only grow, and so will the need for this information. You're just anticipating the need! Messages from restart of BOINC 4.43 on my dual P3 700 with a 3 day connect interval. It's obviously in panic mode. I have one einstein unit (49.8% complete) and six seti units (one 63% complete). The deadline for the einstein unit is June 9th and the earliest seti deadline is June 16th but as you can see for some reason it's telling me that a deadline is before reconnect. 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||Starting BOINC client version 4.43 for windows_intelx86 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||Data directory: H:\Misc Programs\BOINC 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM|SETI@home|Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM|SETI@home|Computer ID: 616462; location: home; project prefs: default 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM|Einstein@Home|Computer ID: 163385; location: home; project prefs: default 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 2005-05-27 00:49:32) 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||Remote control not allowed; using loopback address 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM|Einstein@Home|Resuming computation for result H1_1147.5__1147.7_0.1_T13_Fin1_0 using einstein version 4.79 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM|SETI@home|Resuming computation for result 03dc03ab.22340.18080.665884.136_3 using setiathome version 4.11 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||schedule_cpus: must schedule 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||Deadline is before reconnect time 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||New CPU scheduler policy: earliest deadline first. 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||earliest deadline: 1118340712.000000 H1_1147.5__1147.7_0.1_T13_Fin1_0 6/5/2005 5:16:52 PM||earliest deadline: 1118962123.000000 03dc03ab.22340.18080.665884.136_3 |

There is this new invention I heard about ... called e-mail ... if you have access p.d.buck@comcast.net Heck, zip up your logs and send them to me ... I don't mind ... giga-bytes of space on my Mac ... and since i have roughly a terabyte ... I won't run out soon ... I like to be ACCURATE ... to the best of my ability. If you look at the current message descriptions and examples, though still not perfect and way ahead of what I had in the phpMyFAQ system ... so ... appreciate it folks ... more tomorrow ... I will take a stab at collecting any new messages I don't already have so you can see your efforts ... :) |
