Boys and Girls,

It is message log time again. I need the 3 or 4 line segments from messages recorded.

Once again, we are trying to serve and one of the complaints was that we don't have enough examples. Well, I am adding the ones I can invent, but I can't invent them all.

I don't have very many messages done, and I do have my own logs with most of the more common message segments. If you look in the Wiki right now, for example, you can see that the Benchmarking process has a decent enough example ... though, if some one has one that is "interesting" I will take that too.

You can see at least one other example that I have pretty well done. You can also look at another <a>example[/url] that still needs work ... but at least I have the messages so I have material to work with.

http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Message_from_server:_Invalid_or_missing_account_key._Visit_this_project%27s_web_site_to_get_an_account_key

So, if you get something interesting, help your fellow BOINCer ...

Oh, and if this is not working for you ... now is the time to suggest something about doing it differently ...

Don't know if you have this from before(?), or can use it for anything, but it's from one incident I had recently. It's a tad more than 3-4 lines, but you can cut it down to your liking.

I see you discuss this on your site, but there's no example entry, so here's one for you:

5/29/2005 11:47:44 PM|Einstein@Home|Resuming computation for result H1_0358.5__0358.5_0.1_T18_Fin1_2 using einstein version 4.79

5/29/2005 11:48:20 PM|Einstein@Home|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project.
5/29/2005 11:48:20 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: process exited

Many, many thanks again for all the work you've put in (and continue to give) for this priceless resource. You may not see the hit counts you'd like now, but the user base will only grow, and so will the need for this information. You're just anticipating the need!

[edited because I didn't like the way the pre tag made the entries look]

Regards,

Do you still have the lines above and below? I want to do examples in context so I can show the surrounding messages ... you can look at the examples I have to this point to see what I am trying to do ...

I mean, I will take your input (and everyone elses too) with thanks ... but ... :)

Everyone, please note:

Ok, I have also "tagged" the ones that are not done at all yet, and some of the ones that have been done, but I don't have a good log ... so look at the Wiki before you post or e-mail ... :)

Save all of us ... I hope to do 5-10 messages a day ... stay tuned ...

I am attached to three projects. There are no messages or contact with Einstein project. This is going on for over a week. With -300000 debt accumulation, it is going to take a week before I get any Einstein work.

Messages from restart of BOINC 4.43 on my dual P3 700 with a 3 day connect interval. It's obviously in panic mode. I have one einstein unit (49.8% complete) and six seti units (one 63% complete). The deadline for the einstein unit is June 9th and the earliest seti deadline is June 16th but as you can see for some reason it's telling me that a deadline is before reconnect.

There is this new invention I heard about ... called e-mail ... if you have access

p.d.buck@comcast.net

Heck, zip up your logs and send them to me ... I don't mind ... giga-bytes of space on my Mac ... and since i have roughly a terabyte ... I won't run out soon ...

I like to be ACCURATE ... to the best of my ability. If you look at the current message descriptions and examples, though still not perfect and way ahead of what I had in the phpMyFAQ system ... so ... appreciate it folks ... more tomorrow ... I will take a stab at collecting any new messages I don't already have so you can see your efforts ... :)

Some project would not exit wne requested so the benchmarks would not run.

I think this is from when was trying to get a CPDN unit finished so I had set my preferences to leave more than the whole disk free. I was still using 4.25.

the "disk" (partition) offers 22 GB of free available diskspace, might it's not enought for boinc..
