Well, **fi** is correct, because a tittle is: "A small diacritic mark, such as an accent, a vowel mark, or a dot over an i", but Misfit is more accurate, as both your question and the definition call the "dot over [an] i" a dot. So, what you're saying Tom, is that the "tittle" is basically an all inclusive description of those little marks above letters? Thing is, the lowercase [i] would not be a lowercase [i] without the dot which tells me that the dot is actually a PART of that letter. I don't see how it could be catagorized with the tilde of other marks such as the quomlot{sp}. Probably but then im not German and nowhere near fluent and i havent got umlauts on my keyboard All i know is umlauts are used to replace 'e's next to the letter with the umlaut on randomthoughts: I glide upon the evening and dance upon the dawn with Sirius asmy guide and Canopus asmy friend Some fear the dark but with friends like Orion,Cygnus and Andromeda one needs no fear To me nature was mute, until i saw the stars ID: 115899 · |
