This is just the initial setup of the website. The project is not yet publically active on BOINC. It is still in beta testing. Announcements will be made and you will be notified. If you have been crunching SETI classic, continue for now. If you are crunching on the SETI Beta test, continue with that. |

> It's working....however.. > Thx > M.f.G, HaQuiX from Germany Yes, now it is working. I think they still want to keep it to a small number of people, to work out the kinks. |

Message from server: Not sending work - last RPC too recent: 127 sec RPC = Remote Procedural Call BOINC will automatically contact the server as it needs to if left on line. You can initiate an update etc. as well. If there is not enough time elapsed between contacts with the server then the server will make a wait period between contacts. This is to avoid server congestion/indigestion. BOINC, on your computer, will also back of in increasing time waits if it cannot contact the server (server down for some reason)This will show under the messages tab. There is a comprehensive FAQ @ http://homepage.mac.com/pauldbuck/ Worth checking out. K. [url=http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=user_statistics&userid=2593] |

I'm getting "No work available". Could someone from the SETI project please tell us if the server is just down, or if SETI BOINC isn't online yet? Because I uninstalled SETI@home from my computers, before installing the BOINC version. That is what the BOINC installation instructions say must be done for BOINC to work properly. I don't feel like re-installing SETI@home and then having to un-install it again in a few days. Some clear answers would be appreciated. |

Well, I've had the same messages all week, and if it's doing *any* work, I sure haven't noticed. I moved to this newer BOINC version because the older version no longer worked - refused to accept any work results from the four different systems running the older version.. Only difference with this version is that the client keeps coming back empty handed when looking for work. It would be nice to have some type of explanation on the main page - IE "If you're seeing THIS, we're aware of it, and you're receiving the message because there aren't enough work units to go around..." |
