'Enemy of the State' has too many connections to current state of affairs to be ignored. I am posting this from a safehouse ready to be taken offline. If you've seen the movie you know what I mean.

Don't make any calls!

Find a new safehouse. And keep your weapon very close at all times.

DragonSlayer!

In the beginning, when the sorcerer tells the guy to stab him with the dagger, I thought it wouldn't kill him. Oh well

All good wizards have a plan. You know.. wizards and warriors. At least they're supposed to.

Prince Of Darkness (1987)

Director: John Carpenter

A sinister secret has been kept in the basement of an abandoned Los Angeles church for many years. With the death of a priest belonging to a mysterious sect, another priest opens the door to the basement and discovers a vat containing a green liquid. The priest contacts a group of physics graduate students to investigate it. Unfortunately, they discover that the liquid contains the essence of Satan himself, and they also discover that he will release HIS father - an all-powerful Anti-God! The liquid later comes to life itself, turning some of the students into zombies as the Devil comes forward to release his father. Will these students be able to stop him? Source: Amazon

Yes, very dark. I was shocked the first time I saw it. I remember two very strange scenes well. One was in the beginning when the priest (Donald Pleasence) brought the other scientists down to the basement to show them that rotating liquid. The other one was when they where all having the same dream, or vision from the future.

This thread should be closed. I've been thinkin'... many of the really great movies that have been mentioned in here by me and others just aren't kid-friendly. Think what would happen if children actually found this thread with these movies in it.

If my thread is allowed to stay open while other people are getting their posts or threads deleted I'll feel like I'm getting special treatment.

Best Seller (1987)

Cop and writer Brian Dennehy is promised the "inside story" from hit man James Woods if he'll aid him in getting revenge against the corrupt civic leader who dispensed with his "services," but a sinister secret may kill their uneasy partnership before it's started. Intense thriller also stars Victoria Tennant, Paul Shenar.
