Has 'Red Dawn' made anyone's list? That was on tv the other day. According to the Guinness Book of World Records at the time, this film held the record for being the most violent movie ever made, with scenes of violence every five minutes. Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

Has 'Red Dawn' made anyone's list? That was on tv the other day. I didn't know that. It doesn't surprise me though since I do remember that there was a LOT of action in it. |

Has 'Red Dawn' made anyone's list? That was on tv the other day. I was surprised when I first heard that. Then I watched it again and paid more attention to the "death" count. It's pretty high. Not a lot of blood and gore, just a lot of killing. Although, by today's standards, it's pretty tame. But still a good flick. Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

I'm surprized no on has come up with Scanners - 1981. I've only seen the first film. I was pretty young when I saw it so it was kinda scary then. |

I just remembered one of the most treasured movies in the tiny collection I had back then. Rad. A lot of 80's BMXers have said this movie made them get interested in BMX and freestyle. lol. I got a Mongoose BMX about a year after this movie came out and a GT freestyle afterwards. I guess I'd describe it as average. It's not a bad one, but it's got some really cheesy scenes. There's a particular freestyle/dancing scene that comes to mind. There aren't that many freestyle scenes in the movie but the beginning scene shows some neat stuff. I could probably do most of the moves in that scene at the time. But man, I just wish I could remember the names. There's some GTs in that scene :D EDIT: Except for the last move. No way |

Holy smoke, The Goonies! lol. That WAS pretty goofy. But I liked it when I was a kid. Enigma caught that one in a previous post. Stand By Me is a classic, or so considered by some anyways:). River Phoenix, one of the actors listed here, passed away. |

Has 'Red Dawn' made anyone's list? That was on tv the other day. fwiw There's a Red Dawn (Collector's Edition) due to be released July 2007 in the US. "http://www.thedigitalbits.com/mytwocentsa136.html#pos" wrote: Also today, we have details on MGM's Red Dawn: Collector's Edition due on 7/15 (SRP $19.98). The 2-disc set will include the film in anamorphic widescreen video with Dolby Digital 2.0 audio. There will also be an optional "carnage counter" you can activate as you watch the film. Disc Two will add 4 featurettes (Red Dawn Rising, Building the Red Menace, Military Training and WWII Comes to Town). Hope there's a John Milius' commentary as on Rough Riders and Wind and the Lion. Here's the cover art: Boys! Avenge me! Avenge me! |

One of the best movies of any decade. I was given the director's cut DVD last last Xmas. Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

'Enemy of the State' has too many connections to current state of affairs to be ignored. I am posting this from a safehouse ready to be taken offline. If you've seen the movie you know what I mean. Don't make any calls! "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
