Personal background
I'm currently working as a Systems Administrator for a small non-profit in deep South Texas right along the US/Mexico Border. I previously served in the Marine Corps working as a Network Engineer and spent most of my time in Okinawa, Japan.

When not watching Ancient Aliens, Stephen Hawking or other like minded shows, you can find me experiencing the great outdoors on either my mountain bike, kayak, ATV or of course my own two feet.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always been fascinated by the possibility of life outside of our own planet and truly believe in the Ancient Alien theories. Today people with my beliefs are considered dreamers and our views are quickly dismissed by most people. I would love nothing more than to be able to find some proof and have alien life finally be accepted by the main stream. To that end I will do whatever I can to aid in the search. Even though SETI's mission can be compared the the proverbial needle in a haystack (a really, really big haystack), I believe eventually, we will discover proof of intelligent life outside of our own planet.
