I am new to the SETI/BOINC projects (actually ran the seti screen savers on a few dozen of the servers at one of my data centers years ago, then took a loooong break.)
I currently am a Sr. Windows System Admin for a large health care company. I handle the configuration and architecture of around 10K windows servers spread over 75 different active directory forests. (We have about 7M users on the system.) It's kind of a 24 hour job but it is a lot of fun. (We also have 5 AS/400's and 4 LARGE mainframes. I wish I could run seti on my 10K windows servers. I'd have an insane RAC but probably a bunch of upset hospitals. :)
I am also into HAM radio and martial arts. I have studied Aikido and Tai chi chuan for almost 15 years and have been doing HAM radio since I was a child. (My father was into it and got me into it.) I specialize in satellite HAM communications and have done a bit of EME. (Earth, moon, earth).
My current BOINC/SETI system is a Dell XPS 720:
Q6600
6GB DDR2 Ram
2x EVGA GTX 470
2x 160GB Raptor HD RAID 0 for OS
4x 2TB Seagate HD Raid 5 for storage
(Running only GPU's for crunching. CPU is not utilized for SETI application)
