I am the long haired guy on the right of that picture. The guy on the left is my friend Chris who helped me put that thing together.
I am a 24 year old guy living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in the United States. I spend much of my time surfing the web: reading lots of Wikipedia articles, watching lots of videos, downloading lots of torrents. I also enjoy reading speculative fiction novels, and I have even tried my hand at writing one during National Novel Writing Month. I also have an interest in Science. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I personally believe that the very size of the Universe makes the prospect of us being alone unlikely. We just aren't that special. I also think that it would be very exciting to discover other intelligent lifeforms that aren't from our planet. I would also very much like to know what the value for the variable L in the Drake Equation is. Finding another extraterrestrial civilization could give us an indication for what that value might be.
A negative result would be very interesting as well, although much harder to verify. |
