Profile: Laird o' th' wee White Hoose

Personal background
Greetings out there. I was born in 1963. Today I work in the security branch. My hobbies includes among other amateur radio, astronomy, horses, and music. Living in the countryside where there is peace and tranquility, and a formidable view to outer space, since street lighting not bother incoming stellar light.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Are we alone in the universe? Is there other life out there? We've just begun the second century, with electromagnetic activity here on Earth. After only this ultra-short time in space, we already moveing away from electromagnetic activity, as much communication is transferred to the cables hidden in the ground. If developments take place with the same healthy steps on other planets, with advanced life forms, we must be extremely lucky, to catch their signals, just as they fly past our own little world. With SETI@HOME, we can all contribute to make a difference whether we capture these extremely rare signals, if anyone might have posted some. Let us all therefore try to trace the next "WOW!"
