| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I wanted to join the seti project in the earlier years when i was about 14 years old i think. After reading a magazine in wich the seti-project was mentioned.
But at that time i had a very old pc and no modem whatsoever, therefore this was a unatttainable goal for quite some years.
Later when i was about 17, 18 years old i had created and a account at high schoool and installed the screensaver on a few school pc's. (With no succes because images were casted over these pc's every night, but i found this out later)
These days were wild times and i soon lost track of the project and my account.
Recently i "rediscovered" the seti project again, after watching a documentary on the national geographic,and i picked up on my earlier wish.
Now the circumstances are definately in my favour, me being an it proffesional, owning multiple computers, administrating a large company network,and having a cable connection.
Now i'll be making up for lost time. |
