I am a application developer that works with both mainfraims and client servers. I got involved with seti a couple years ago just because I do beleive their is life out there that we have yet to discover. Persoanlly, I do beleive we have been visted here on earth by other species. But they have either found that we are not technically and emotionally ready for formal intruduction, or that the formal introduction has occured at the goverment level and we just have not been informed.
Thats ok though, because thats what seti is all about. The general population of the world cooperating together to search out these life forms. And, my beleif that we have been visited before means that I also feel that they know that the general population as a whole are looking to meet them. And that they are monitoring our searchs. When these species feel the time is right, they will let us find them.
My hobbies: Books(high tech blood and guts), computers(professionally and recreational), and as I get older. I find my hobbies are expanding to encompas ever more. Why, cause Im always searching to learn something new and experience new things. Thus, my intrest in seti.

I want to be a part of this. My computer is running 24/7, and its powerfull enough that I am able to allow seti to run during the whole time. It would be a dream come true to be apart of finding life elsewhere in this grand and great universe that we live in.
The project, its the next best thing to bread and butter. The taking of inexpesnive equipment of the general mass's, and doing grand scientific research. More projects should be done in this way during the times of goverment cut backs and prejiduces. Besides, as I understand seti. It is being run by, and coordinated by scientists and not burocrats. Thus, it will work.
No sugestions, im not versed enough in this topic enough to offer an inteligent one. There are much more educated people that coordinate to this project then me. I just wish to offer what ever services I can to accomplish the goal of the project. |
