Posted 10 Dec 2010 by DanLM Post: Thank you for all the work. I had just built three new FreeBSD(old) machines for seti when the project went off line. Lol, timing is everything. I thought I had done something wrong with setting up seti because I had no wu's for those machines. But all is well for both the seti project and all the machines I have crunching numbers. Again, thank you. |

Posted 12 Jan 2008 by DanLM Post: Probably the easiest way would be to add separate 'work' preferences, via your SETI account page, for this machine. Thank you. I was in my accounts and preferences looking to see if it could be done there. I missed the ability of changing where the computer was located in that list. Very much appriceated... Dan |

Posted 12 Jan 2008 by DanLM Post: I now have seti setup on my unix box at home to help contribute. This was done via the command line because it is a file server. I also have a buisness server that is unix that I would like to use also... But, I would like to set different preferences for this machine(cpu usage, process's). How do you do this??? In the xml files and then run the boinc_cmd update? Any and all help is appriceated. Dan |
