I'm a retired telecommunications tech. 28 years with a telco and many of those years in computer communications. Prior to the telco, I spent 10 years in the Air Force as a Radar tech. (Long Range Search on the "Pinetree line"). I've always had an interest in electronics and space; and SETI is the perfect combination of both for me.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I know there is life out there on other planets. I just don't want to wait until the 'afterlife' to see the proof and truth of it!
What better way is there to utilize the idle cycles of my CPU's than to do this research. With the multi-millions of PC's doing this work; I expect something will eventually be found. I intend to keep searching.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
