Personal background
I am currently a Network Administrator living in Las Vegas, NV.

I believe that America needs a national health care system. I believe it is the best solution to combat declining birth rates among our people. The birth rates are not high enough to replace our current population.

With a national health care system people will stop worrying about if it costs $20,000 to have a baby. Our people will then have more babies. Norway instituted a national health care system and this has helped reverse their declining birth rates. If America does not institute a national health care system in the next few years I have thought about immigrating to Canada, Britain, or Norway. Those countries have national health care systems in place.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I once though it would be cool to discover intelligent life somewhere in the universe. While we know there has to be life in the universe somewhere we just haven't been able to confirm the existence of any that is at least on the intelligent level. Microbes discovered on asteroids isn't that great of a find.

We must ask ourselves do we want to discover intelligent life elsewhere in this universe? It would be good for strategic military reasons to keep tabs on them and prepare for some military attack if they become hostile. If we do discover intelligent life somewhere else in the future I sure as hell hope these intelligent beings do not try to immigrate to Earth. The last thing we need is liberals saying that is ok for intelligent alien lifeforms to live among us and have intelligent alien lifeforms displacing the human race and eliminating us through peaceful means. Humans need our own planet to secure our future existence. Earth is for humans. Say No to alien lifeforms on Earth.
