| Thanks for taking the trouble to read my profile friend...I hope I don't bore you!! Well, as my name implies I'm a child of the 1960's. A time that shaped my life, gave me an ideology and some of the most intense experiences of my life....and believe me folks...the music lives on!!! At the time of writing this proflie, Tuesday 16th October 2001, I am 53 years young, Living in Kingston upon Hull in East Yorkshire, England, not in the best of health and struggling to complete my working life. Who knows, I may have to give it up before I'm 65....( The work, that is !!!) I'm married have a son, 27, a daughter, 24, a mortgage, an overdraft and a car that looks and feels older than I am!!!!! ......My work..I am a Detached Youth Worker..that is, I work out on the streets with young people, usually they have a drug problem or are in trouble with the law. I act as a walking advice and information resource, carry out harm minimisation around their drug use and act as a drugs education resource....Enough about work, my interests are...READING, mainly sci-Fi and fantasy...MUSIC, Opera, Classical, Blues, Jazz and Pink Floyd...not in that order!! I also play blues and Jazz guitar, though not very well!! another interest is SETIATHOME.....brilliant!!...Thanks for staying the course friend, may your god bless you......STOP PRESS....STOP PRESS.... Taken Early retirement... I've had enough of the stress of trying to facilitate people sorting their problems out....once again, life is sweet |

| We are NOT alone in the universe...how arrogant to think otherwise!!!!!I think that maybe THEY will find us rather than the other way round...but ...HEY!...who knows. Setiathome is an amazing concept and I am proud to be doing my bit, though I'd love to have faster machines churning out the WU's !!!. I am a bit of a technophobe..I've only just learned to trust a calculator, never mind a powerfull P.C...( that talks in Klingon!!!!!)....I run setiathome because.......it's there!!......P.S...if you've got this far, you are a noble and very good person..so drop me an 'E' mail if you want to say Hi! in person....:).If you are not a member allready, come and pay us a visit at TEAM PHOENIX RISING and have a natter with some like minded and pretty cool people...... |
