I am in my late 40's and am a small business owner. I have always been interested in science, science fiction, model rocketry and astronomy. I have 4 children and they think it's pretty cool that our home computer is helping to make contact with extra-terrestials. Most of their friends have never heard of the SETI project and it usually takes some convincing to explain what we are doing. |

| I have been involved with SETI since 1999. The classic screensaver always looked impressive while it was running and always prompted curious visitors to ask questions. The BOINC manager is much more complicated to install and set up. I think this will scare off many marginally technical users. |
