Personal background
Hello out there!

I am Dirk Krämer from Germany, exactly from a village named Beuern near the (almost) famous city Giessen. Born in 1973, I'm single for the moment. ;-)
I have too many hobbies that are killing my time to work sometimes, but I'll can manage this ;-)
Instead, my favourite hobbies are computing (with running SETI in the background), astronomy, TV watching, hearing and making music for myself (especially Heavy Metal), reading, self-writing books and last but not least science fiction, especially Star Trek.
I am a very tolerant and patient human, with a great respect for every living being. Life is holy and shouldn't be touched by anyone. 'Cause of this I am a Star Trek fan. This series represents and reflects my thoughts about this universe.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I strongly believe in extraterrestrials. This universe is so big, that the probability for being alone is too small. There are millions and billions of galaxies and millions and billions of planets, and we should be alone here? No way! Life always finds a way to exist, possibly in the craziest world which we couldn't imagine. But to find "them" and contacting them is the greatest challenge for mankind. It will be a long way, but perhaps "they" are faster and find us!
2. My Beacon: Hello, you are not alone!
3. I'm only a little human on this planet, but in my searching astronomy heart somehow and sometimes I wish to find an evidence for other life out there. Perhaps I'm the one to find it with the SETI program ;-)
