Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Driving home one day from a job I could not wait to leave, I was listening to NPR, All Things Considered. The topic was SETI, and the SETI@home project that was soon to start. I had known of SETI for a long time, growing up I dreamed of being an astronomer, but alas. Needles to say, it caught my attention. Now I have all my computers crunching out work units.

I don't think there is any question that life exists elsewhere, just a matter if we are going to find them, or they are going to find us. I think the SETI@home project, its' overall purpose, and the way it has been implemented (distributed processing), is one of the most exciting things to take part in these days...along with the thrill of riding a motorcycle!
