Good morning, same problem here... Thats so crazy - every Sunday! Can you imagine that I'm out of work again? :D After 1 hour and 500 WUs??!

I spend days/weeks to optimize my system to reduce crunch times and to make my machine faster and every sunday, every tuesday I run out of work for several hours.
That makes no sense whats going on here :D

Hi Miklos, I hope it is okay to send you some information, even if this is offtopic.
But yes it is water cooled, first I was a bit afraid if this could work but it works incredibly perfect with low noise level, so I can work and skype in the same room)
Temperature of each 2080 Ti GPU and both Xeon CPUs is 56 °C (+/- 2 °C while room temperature is 27 °C)
I have 3 radiators inside:
- 1st in the top of the case: 480mm with 8x 120mm fans (push & pull) (they are pushing fresh air inside)
- 2nd in the sidepanel: 240mm with 2x 120mm fans (pull) (they pulling out the warm air, trough the radiator)
- 3rd in the bottom of the case: 480mm with 4x 120mm fans (push) (they are pushing the "caseair" trough the radiator)
and 3 more case-fans: 2x 120mm in the front delivering fresh air, and 1x 120mm fan in the back to push out the warm air.
Power supply is a Corsair AX1600i, which takes fresh air from the side of the case, it even stays warm and is not getting to hot.

It's so stupid, 3 weeks ago I build a machine with Dual Xeon Gold (40 cores, 80 vCores) and 4x 2080TI just for SETI...
I spend thousands of Euros and even with 500 Cached WUs I run out of work latest after 1,5 hours of SETI Server Problems.
I would like to get a better BOINC Client to cache more workunits, I even would pay for help, because I use this machine for heating my apartment...
Best regards
Matthias

Hey msattler!!!

I looked at your computers,
and your core2duo E6600 has average credit >2000.
Why?
My Core2Duo E6600 has only 1200 Average credit with SSE3 Client vom Lunatics

He has his overclocked to 3.4G, you are at stock 2.66G

his: CPU real speed: 3424 MHz

Yours: CPU real speed: 2700 MHz

Big difference.

Cool, thank you for this information.
Where do you see, that my Core2Duo is at 2,7 GHz?
Is the SSSE3 Client from Lunatics the best for me?

Hello,

i have a E6600 @ 2x 2,4 GHz Processor.
Running 24/7/365.
The RAC is ~ 1150 Credits with SSSE3 optimized
Client from Lunatics.
Setiathome enhanced 5.17

How to get more RAC?
I saw computers with E6600 - with about >2000 RAC

Greetings

Matthias

Hallo,

Thanks for your help.
Is there a special date when SETI@Home Classic will go down?
Do you have MSN, ICQ or Mail? :-)
(Iam from berlin and want to chat with other SETI-Friends)^^

Hello,

I would prefer if there is a chance to update my own profile with just a click on a link
with the old statistics of SETI@home Classic
(I mean the number of crunched WU's and the hole computing time).
Because I'm crunching some Workunits at SETI@home Classic to become the 25000 WU's certificate
I just want to see those Wus in the new profile.

Well thats all I wanted to ask

Bye, Matthias Keck
