Quick question ( just because I have to ask )

Rush, I have seen you say on a few occasions that the US enjoys full employment....

How can that possibly be accurate when the unemployment rate here where I live is up around 14%??

I just read something in the paper today about the Alternative Minimum Tax. The government is awfully stupid in not indexing things for inflation when it comes for taxes. For people making more than just a modest income it may affect them. So it's possible that the AMT might nix a charitable deduction. Buying computers to calculate Seti probably doesn't save a penny of tax, and usually will just add to state and/or local tax liability. For example when I ordered $3000 worth of computers last year to crunch Seti, I had to add 6% state sales tax ($180) on the state income tax form because the vendor did not add state tax to my bill. Luckily here there is no local sales tax.

At times you and I have agreed on some things. What bothers me that by pushing the issue is not going to resolve it.

The rules are the whole issue. If the group goes to following the rules then it becomes moot.

I was considering answering your post line for line...somethings I agree with you, on others I see things differently for various reasons. But I have decided to cut to the chase, in one word, transparency. Anonymity of actions and hiding behind a wall creates a situation of distrust, not only here, but in any group dynamic. IMO, herein lies the main problem, no matter how hard people are dancing around the various issues, that is the crux of the situation.

There is a problem with transparency. That means leaving the post out for all to see, when the point is that the post does not follow the rules and needs to be hidden.

The person that has a post moderated is told what was done, why it was done, and who did it. This is about as transparent as we can get and still have moderation.

Then until a solution is found, and compromises made, the situation will in all likelihood continue, which is something no one wants.

They'll only end up getting quickly voted out for not following the beat of the same drum.

Eric's drum is the only beat that matters.

Not when established mods gang up on individual mods, one at a time...? Allowing you to do that is Eric's issue. And quit hiding behind Eric and trying to put the onus on him; it is his giving you freedom of action that you should be taking responsibility for, and not him.
