Message 2126934 - Posted: 14 Oct 2023, 23:05:40 UTC - in response to Message 2126927.

Along with the aspirin is a postal scale w/a 660lb capacity which is 14"x12" in size, it can weigh me or a box, currently I don't know how much I weigh as my current scale is on the blink. As soon as I get my car working again I can walk into the Post Office and get my mail, until then someone else picks it up and delivers the mail to me since without a working car I'm stranded here as there is no public transportation here, there used to be dial a ride, but that was taken away when the county put in a bus route 2.5 miles from here.

Delayed by a railroad problem:
A railroad mechanical failure has delayed delivery. We're working to

The quote came from bing.com, UPS tracking doesn't say anything anymore.
That's all I know. I have 6 aspirin left, which will be taken 2 per day until they are gone, I upped the 650mg acetaminophen from 2 to 3 to compensate.

I've had enough outside for a while as we hit 24C (feels like 20C) @ 11:15am so we have plenty of time left to reach 26C and maybe even exceed it.

Anyhow after over 6hrs of domestic duties and gardening it's close enough for a well deserved Sunday LLB.

Cheers.

We actually reached 27C (felt like 22C) with just 15% humidity here today and it's now down to 12C (feels like 9C) with 7C expected in the morning.

Anyhow I'm calling it a night as I've got another busy morning tomorrow.

Cheers.

Winning on a Monday morning down under and it's 6C (feels like 3C) in the highlands here with 25C being expected along with a gusty gale that could turn up anytime now.

Anyhow time for a coffee while the dished soak in hot water.

Cheers.

We made it to 27C here today, but with the 50-65km/h gale blowing off the snow down south it felt like 20C and it's now back to 17C (feels like 12C) with just 2C expected in the morning.

Anyhow it won't be much longer until I call it a day.

Cheers.

We have a misty brightness in a still flat calm.

And some of the radio links are suffering. Surely not from the cold? The electronics like it cool... Unless that is they have become frosted over, or dripping wet with dew/condensation...

And lots to do, bits to move!

We got off to a very smokey 4C (felt like 1C) start here this morning and just 22C is expected today.

The smoke is coming from several fires down on the coast and along the base of the escarpment driven here by the SE wind and 1 of them is just behind my little brother's place again down on the coastal hinterland. He'll have his livestock down by the creek and likely back burning the grass back up the hill towards the fire itself on the other side of it and away from the house, but luckily his property is basically all pasture land with the odd tree though some of his neighbours are total bush blocks and will likely soon be in trouble.

Anyhow between the cold wind and the smoke I think that I may stay inside today.

Cheers.

By 'eck we have a chilly damp out there. Instant condensation on all surfaces.

Very glad to not be one of the poor blighters still working out there!

Did enjoy a fantastic sunset earlier. Good to enjoy!

We made it to 21C (felt like 17C) here today and now we're enjoying a blood red sunset care of the smoke haze that's been about all day and is expected to last at least another day yet.

Cheers.
