Posting on a damp Hump Day morning as I wait for the jug to boil. We got off to a 11C (felt like 8C) start here while 13C is expected so we're almost there already. Cheers. |

I just came in from my usual morning yard inspection (you know, greet Dog, water veggies and see what the weather has done) and while the mercury has gone down to 10C the chill breeze has gone up making it feel like 5C out there now (it was warmer out there at 5am). Anyhow it's time for my 2nd coffee break and thaw out a bit. Cheers. |

Well... What a weird diffuse combined overcast and mid cast we've been swimming through today. Strangely surreal to in effect to see nothing discernable as a "sky"... ... And now that Wiggo gets a teaser-taster of the sun... By 'eck it's gone damp chilly! No rain but everything is wet. Roll onwards to some decent summertime again? Enjoy?! Thunderstorms during the night with some good rain and strong winds. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

... And now that Wiggo gets a teaser-taster of the sun...You mean to say that that dull glow in the cloudy sky here today was the sun Martin? But I did go back outside into the cold again as I wanted to see how 1 of my purchases yesterday would go with 1 of my mega sized wicking tubs and it turned out ok (though having a 2nd pair of hands would've been handy stretching the thing out). https://scontent.fsyd3-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/358094008_6156938037761702_4474805002578143368_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=jmijU42Sv88AX_Lgbd9&_nc_ht=scontent.fsyd3-2.fna&oh=00_AfDyM_dJeM66833G1-6LM4GLL73b_xW5l6hcsIoil4Dw_g&oe=64AA2B83 Anyhow 11C (felt like 5C) was the best that we could do here today and the forecast isn't looking much better for the rest of the week, that is unless you love skiing in the snow as plenty of it is expected down south which will chill us up here even more as the wind comes off it. Cheers. |

Yes... You've left the glowing orb wrapped in fluffy fog for our side also... You're very welcome to your cotton-wool effect back! Meanwhile: Why a wicking tub? Do they not just accumulate salts and rot the root ends?? Good luck? Meanwhile, the decoupled comms link, after days of reliable operation, suffered an irksome noisy spasm last night. Pretty sure that was not a problem with water or condensation shorting out the works... The type of noise suggested power problems again. There's two power supply units for different parts of the kit, and there's a multitude of switch-mode supply rails from those... My next guess is there are further overworked and degrading capacitors in there, or there is some spasm of interaction between the two PSUs, or the PSUs themselves are degrading (one is European sourced, the other is from half-the-price China). Next fix is to fit a new higher rating singular PSU, because that's easy to do and is 'reassuring' for better supply margins. Will also move the kit to be better out-of-the-way to ensure it isn't somehow getting physically 'disturbed'... All good fun! The new parts/cables have been ordered... Here's hoping! Multi voltage switched mode PSUs can be real pains to get properly stable even using top grade components. Get the control points wrong and they can be stable for ages, then a small load change comes along and stability goes out of the window with all sorts of strange artefacts..... 77f, 43% humidity, poor air quality from wild fire smoke and the highs are projected for the upper 80s. This does not forbode a very nice day on the upper left coast and I anticipate AC being turned this afternoon. |

It's a very foggy (and possibly frosty) 0C (feels like -2C) here on top of this mountain as we await sunrise so I'll get a coffee in before that occurs. ...Do they not just accumulate salts and rot the root ends??...I guess that they could if not used or maintained properly Martin and it's easy enough to deconstruct them to freshen them up when required. So far my 2nd crop is looking as the 1st. ;-) Cheers. |

It is now 90f, the humidity has dropped to 23% and the air quality has improved to moderate from dangerous. |

I got almost everything to rebuild my bed, the only thing that I lack is the right size washer for 26 #6 wood screws(not metric), all I can find are m2 and m2.5 and m3 washers, but I do have a new kitchen faucet in which I have one payment on next month after giving the plumber $150 today, there are no leaks and no mess, the new vanity next month is looking like it'll be gray instead of white as it costs less, but we'll see. Then there is this box, it contains 67lbs of bed spring which is mostly metal to replace a lighter broken bed spring. I had to give up some cool air and give it a bear hug to lift this off the steps and to get it inside. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

The temp here barely made 10C (felt like 4C) today, but I did get the other half of my Chinese trumpet creeper pruned so it'll be well into summer before the thing grows up onto my shed's roof this time. I'll start of my crepe myrtles next week. Anyhow as the wind rattles through here we're now down to 7C (feels like 2C) as I what more cricket. Cheers. |

Thanks Carlos and Admiral Gloval. I'm older than my late siblings as neither made 62 let alone 63. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
