The following are the Rules: ------------- 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post about these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) 8. Any new rules apply after due consideration and notice. Don`t forget to have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy for the win. Now what to do for the rest of the day. |

Well we're already up to 26C here on the mountain with still a few hours to go until the peak heat hits, yet the experts have just dropped our expected max down from 29C to 28C (yesterday it was 30C), and just out on the plains to the west it's already in the mid 30C's and they head for the 40C's while down the other side on the coast it's 1-2C warmer with about 40% more humidity. Anyhow I'm just going to enjoy the 22C inside here while it lasts. Cheers. |

It's now up to 27C (feels like 26C) outside here (24C inside) as clouds begin to gather. Cheers. |

Thanks everyone. Now who thinks it is safe to post. I have a few odd ideas up my sleeve. It may be safe now. But one of you will spring the trigger soon. |

The mercury here did reach 28C (felt like 27C) today, but it's cooling down nicely now. Cheers. |

It's safe for me to post up to a 7.1 quake, a 7.8 is only 0.7 times bigger, if I understand this correctly, but then my home was mandated by county government to have an earthquake resistant foundation system or I'd not be typing from here, as that was required to get a final on the building permit in 2006 and a certificate of occupancy too. My home is bolted to the concrete and screwed into the dirt below my home and the foundation is bolted to my home and the foundation is good sized, you can't put 1 hand around one of the bolts, you'd need 2 hands to do that. Posting as the temp drops down with a cool easterly wind blowing and hopefully it'll be cool enough to finally get the beer brew going in the morning. Cheers. |

Went on a pizza run a few hours ago. Had to take a detour because of a rollover vehicle accident. Police and fire department had the four lane road closed for the last suv to be turned over on its wheels. |

Covid day 3. worst day yet. I was exposed on Thursday 2/2 and told about the exposure the following day. Started getting a cold or flu on Sunday 2/5 but tested negative. It was better on Monday 2/6 but tested positive. Today I feel horrible. Fever, headache, congestion, soar throat. My doctor ordered Remdesivir for me and I should be able to pick that up later. I want that virus out of my body. |

Congrats Admiral and here's wishing for a good and speedy recovery Carlos! Over here, certainly having fun with a very heavy frost, an equipment panel that looks to have failed due to excessive condensation getting into the works, and the Royal Mail not delivering yet again... Or rather for the Royal Mail delivery, they tried delivering last thing on Friday and then again at some silly first thing on Sat. Ofcourse there was noone here to pick it up... (Poets and all that and February celebrations...) Arranging a redelivery is dangerously too close to Friday again... So where is their "Delivery Service Office" and with what restrictive hours that they'll condescend to see non-Royal people?... Meanwhile, we have some beautiful misty sunshine that is flying by far far too fast by far!! Had rain last night as a cold front past through. I am flat on my back in bed doing a edema leg treatment. My legs look like they are in mid thigh air inflatable boots. The boots inflate in stages starting at my toes and goes to my thigh’s. Then deflates some and starts again at the toes going up my lower legs. Trying to move the extra fluid out. It takes a hour to get a full session in. They want me to do this once a day if not twice. |
