Mowers, it's an individual choice, what I'd do might not be what you do and that's ok.

Posting far too early on a Monday Sunday morning.
I knew that it was far too early in the morning for me.

But the sun is up and shinning here for the moment.

Cheers.

Looks like California will be getting some rain.

Snow forecast down to 3,000 feet and as much as 8 feet of snow in the mountains, with 100 mph winds? That's what NOAA is predicting. Think I will stay in the low lands.

Much needed but still only a drop in the bucket.

Lots of cloud, not much rain, but still lots of mud. Flooding along the river.

Met a lone groundsman with a bushsaw attempting to clear tree branches from blocking a brook. He had mud up to his armpits from having slid in upon occasion... Looking at the task, a small army is needed before the next rains...

Escaping conscription, my muddy boots are hung out to dry whilst I'm enjoying warming up with food and beer and covid safe good cheer!

I'm enjoying a beer break after turf cutting a 20m x 120mm strip of lawn on the uphill side of my yard and so far I've now got a 6m trench dug to try and divert some more runoff from up the hill somewhere else.

The temp here is already up to 21C (feels like 18C).

Cheers.

wrecks, wrecks, and more wrecks. I saw at least 12 cars and trucks on the side of the road this morning. One jack-knifed truck was blocking 2 lanes of the freeway. Most were single-vehicle accidents. In other words, all they hit was water. Drive carefully if you must. And watch out for piles of wet leaves. I saw two cars riding on top of them this morning. They can be as bad as ice on the road.
Winning public service post.

Well I've got another 6m of drainage trench dug here this morning, but as the mercury hit 19C (feels like 17C) I've decided it was time for a break to cool down and recover (there must be a pub somewhere that's open now, ok I'm on Kiwi trading hours ATM). ;-)

Cheers.
