That's really going to hit their bottom line and reputation. Some of the statements in that report are quite worrying. Such as not being able to supply complete information to the inquiry; or having suffered internal failures. The there's this not so little one: The AFSCA said the investigation was ongoing and the factory would only be allowed to reopen if Ferrero could provide the necessary guarantees that it complied with food safety regulations.Which suggests to me that the investigation found some pretty gross non-compliances. I'd think twice before going to this school. A cancer survivor is vowing to untangle the twisted mystery of why 94 people at the same school developed “extremely” rare brain tumours. The one case was confirmed in a 31-year-old man who began experiencing symptoms on April 5 and sought treatment at a health facility after more than a week of being taken care of at home, the World Health Organization said. He was admitted to an Ebola treatment center Thursday for intensive care but died the same day. |

A sad update: Covid: World’s true pandemic death toll nearly 15 million... wrote: The Covid pandemic has caused the deaths of nearly 15 million people around the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates. Covid's toll in the U.S. reaches a once unfathomable number: 1 million deaths wrote: The U.S. on Wednesday surpassed 1 million Covid-19 deaths, according to data compiled by NBC News — a once unthinkable scale of loss even for the country with the world's highest recorded toll from the virus. And beyond the immediate sad consequences... There are ongoing consequences for our good health: Hospitals urged to use retired staff to cut backlog wrote: NHS bosses in England are urging hospitals to offer staff more overtime and tempt retired employees back, to help tackle waiting lists. At least with the improving weather here in the UK, the number of current covid infections here in the UK is starting to reduce. Still a long way to go but improving. Stay safe folks! FDA puts strict limits on Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine. The US Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday that it is limiting the emergency use authorization of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Covid-19 vaccine to people 18 and older for whom other vaccines aren't appropriate or accessible and those who opt for J&J because they wouldn't otherwise get vaccinated. |

North Korea confirms first Covid-19 death in 'explosive' outbreak. ..."A fever whose cause couldn't be identified explosively spread nationwide from late April," the official Korean Central News Agency said. |

Well North Korea (DPRK) has officially become the 229th member to join the lists and they did it in a big way on the total case list entering at 72nd place and 200th spot on the total deaths list (though some back dating did occur). :-O |

https://www.statnews.com/2022/05/17/cdc-expresses-concern-about-possibility-of-undetected-monkeypox-spread-in-u-k/ CDC expresses concern about possibility of undetected monkeypox spread in U.K. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expressed concern Tuesday about an unusual outbreak of monkeypox in the United Kingdom, suggesting there appears to be at least some undetected transmission of the virus there and warning of the possibility that the outbreak could spread beyond U.K. borders. I saw this a couple of days ago. Thanks to all who posted this. Terrible Disease :-( |

I would say almost certain undetected spread as so few medical staff will have ever encountered Monkeypox, and since the symptoms are so similar to Chickenpox (which has a pretty wide range of symptoms) if they see a patient they will treat it in the same way and just put it down as yet another case.
