Anyhow Morocco became the 43rd member of the 1M+ club followed by Australia who then passed Morocco and Ireland has become the 45th member. Argentina became the 12th member of the 6M+ club before passing Iran to claim 11th spot while Spain became the 9th member of 7M+ club who was quickly followed by Italy who then took 9th place as Turkey became the 7th member of the 10M+ club and France (5th) flew through the 11M+ clubhouse and into the 12M+ clubhouse. The U.K. became the 4th member of the 4 country to enter the 14M+ clubhouse while the U.S. has since put up another 2 pavilions for their 61M+ and 62M+ clubhouses, but will the 63M+ pavilion suddenly appear today and will the U.S. break the 900K daily case barrier (or even the 1M mark)? At the top end of the death list Vietnam slipped past Ecuador into 25th place while Mexico became the 5th member of the 300K+ club. Florida continues with its ridiculous act of hiding death numbers with jumps from 62,191 to 62,264 to 62,347 to 62,389 to 62,480 to 62,541 to 62,622 to 62,810. Here down under N.S.W. put in a daily case record of over 92,000, but that included 12 days of positive RAT's as they became the 2nd state to include those numbers, Victoria was 1st and had their jump in cases by them last week as the "SloMo/Pirouette Circus" failures shoot us up the case list into 28th spot with 2M+ total cases coming up next week (though so far our death count is small considering the company that we're hanging out with now). Meanwhile we ain't alone with high daily case numbers as the U.S. Are creating clubs quicker than they can build the clubhouses for them as the 64M+ club opened and this reporting period will see the opening of the 65M+ club and they continue to lead on the daily and total death lists. India has moved into the 36M+ clubhouse as cases rise there, the U.K. is closing in on the 15M+ club, but France is rocketing along as they flew into the 13M+ club while they keep on breaking records in their chasing down of the U.K.. Italy and Spain flew past Germany as they race for the front door of the 8M+ clubhouse, but that's just a few of the countries that are making a run for it and I can't keep up with them all. Candida auris has already been found in Washington, D.C., and at least 20 other states including Georgia, Florida and Texas, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The fungus is a harmful form of yeast that can be resistant to the most common antifungal drugs. The CDC considers it an emerging global threat and says it is especially dangerous to hospital and nursing home patients with serious medical problems. Although the patients at University Medical Center are the first known in Louisiana, other undetected cases are likely, Dr. Nirav Patel, chief medical officer told The Times-Picayune / The New Orleans Advocate. “This bug could have been here in Louisiana for quite some time,” he said, noting outbreaks in Florida, where 135 cases have been reported, and Texas, with 30. Argentina has become the 2nd country in the world to take COVID to Antarctica, I just hope that these fools don't pass it onto the wildlife down there. Meanwhile here down under the "SloMo/Pirouette" incompetent duo has seen the country become the 31st country to join the 2M+ club (Japsn became the 32nd) while deaths pass 3,000 and the economy falters due to the lack of healthy workers on the ground because of their right wing greed, but the pair continue keep on with their flip flop ways trying to convince the population that their ways are the best (current polls don't reflect that at all by miles). Thankfully cases are dropping due to our high vaccination rate while still well over 80% of those who have died have been unvaccinated, the next highest percentage (15%) are the elderly with severe underlying health problems. On the 20th of this month the world saw a new daily case record of over 3.7 million and that still has numbers from places to yet come in while France now leads the European group with infections now totaling over the 16M+ mark. Little Palau has finally got its own page now as they shoot up to 211th spot on the case list as infections rise there. The very hopeful rapid reduction in infection rate for the UK looks to have hit hard on a bump to hold fast at around the 100,000 new infections per day (as reported). Also note reality in that not everyone is reporting their infection... The more representative ONS summary this Friday (for the previous week) is going to be very interesting for what the real numbers were for comparison for last week. At the moment, so many people are ill with covid that business and schooling are directly affected with too many people off ill. One project I'm involved with that has a mere 6 people on the job has one bod off ill, and we're waiting for a second bod to return from covid quarantining...
