Everything here at this location requires some sort of transportation, food(Calfresh) and mail. I live 13 miles from town in an actual desert and in a food desert, walking I can't do and there is no public transit or buses here. The US Mail is delivered to the local Post Office about 2.5 miles from here and not to the street addresses. So far food can't be delivered thru instacart when using Calfresh as Walmart, Stater Bros Markt, and Food4Less have had months to implement Calfresh deliveries, but have done nothing beyond flap their corporate gums. Just to get out to my car on a fractured left foot that is healing I had to cut into an existing tear in a size 12 4ew shoe that needs to be replaced with a size 13 4ew edema type shoe, the heal of my right foot is sore from being in a too small and worn out shoes. Frosty starts followed by warm sunny days are expected here over the next 5 days and hopefully I'll have my edges done along with the mowing by the weekend. Anyhow as the mercury here approaches Frostville again I'm off to checkout the inside of my eyelids. Cheers. |

Everything here at this location requires some sort of transportation, food(Calfresh) and mail. Me too! Not the desert part, we have water all around us, but it is a food desert. I have to drive at least 10 miles to the closest grocery store. Like you no local mail delivery. Mail is delivered to the local post office that is about 2 miles away. Only 1 bridge on or off the island and no one walks because the roads are too narrow. Except for walking on the levy. That's fun and has many nice views but it will not get you off the island. Sunrise from my morning walk on the levy. |

$95 to see what the trouble code is and maybe to replace it and Caseys has no opening until 0/09/2021. $55 to get a smog check from a Test Only Station in Barstow for my car, the place won't do a smog check as the idiot light is lit and is an automatic FAIL and told me to get it fixed. $135 to get My DMV registration, but no tags until smog is passed, DMV due by 09/08/2021. If I pay the $135 then I'm broke, I have no idea what is wrong, the CA DMV will send the Registration to collections if it's late as I found out once before. And those are the known costs, I need to get a friend to disconnect the car battery for at least 1 hour since I don't have the tools to see if the trouble light is just being cranky or not, He has a reader too, wish I had a reader. I just barely got back inside with 6 bags out of 12 from shopping, 6 more in the trunk which are all cereal. @ Carlos, 2 overpasses here, no islands and a dried up Mojave River. Sad to say just a large lump of concrete half buried in the ground. Will be great to see and hear it back home in its F104 one day. The RB183s are sat in a Buccaneer that was brought here very carefully on two low-loaders. If fully recertified, its flyable. Supposedly, it is to go flying again... There's a lot of work being done for it but not recently... Hopefully the syndicate can indeed get it going despite the COVID problems and consequences. Here's hoping to sometime soon hear their dual roar! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Reading codes is such a scam. $95 to read the code! I do understand that a mechanic needs to factor in overhead, rent, employee wages, withholding, equipment, tools, consumables, loaner car, advertising, coffee in the lobby, billing, and administration but a code reader is under $30. There are some that work with your phone that sell for under $20. Even mine which is a pro-level unit is under $90. |

And if I wasn't perennially so short in the wallet, I'd have the one listed here, it works with android and I've been watching it on and off for a bit. Someday. If it's not my home, it's the furniture or my car or clothes or shoes or bleach or washrags or something and it never stops for a bit. At least my trash bags have no food waste in them. I'm going to try and get rid of them in the morning, it'll be a tight squeeze but I think I can do it in 1 trip, it's 107F outside now. Now I have an uninvited house guest, a medium sized fly. Lovely, I might try the window trick on it. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Well that's another 20m of edges done and another wheelbarrow full of diggings so now I'm going to relax and enjoy a few ginger beers while I wait for my legs to start talking to me again. Cheers. |

I talked to a friend and the problem could be a MAF sensor needs cleaning or the air filter needs cleaning or there is a vacuum leak in a hose, since bank 1 reads running lean. He's going to look for a cleaner, though it's not for tonight, so I'll pay the $135 and go from there, as of Oct 1st I won't be able to legally drive on public roads without a current tag. Without a car I won't have a way to go and buy food like I did today. But Oct 1st is a ways off so who knows? The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
