We've gone from 1C (felt like -2C) here this morning up to 11C (fees like 9C) already with all this sunshine about while 19C is expected today. I'll also see if I can get the path edges from the back door of the house out to the clothesline dug out today and that should give me another wheelbarrow load which I hope will get rid of 1 more lake in the backyard when it rains. Then it should be time for beer o'clock. Cheers. |

I tried buying a can of powdered eggs on Aug 10th and the 19th, both are MIA, the one on the 19th is to replace the 1st can UPS lost, Amazon said if one or both shows up that I should keep both 33oz cans. Something like that happened to me. I ordered 2 cases from Newegg. It appeared that they got lost in shipping and I called Newegg. They sent 2 new ones. The second shipment arrived but 3 weeks later the first shipment arrived too. I called and they said to keep both sets. It would cost them more to accept the return. Timelord got one of the extra cases. |

I'm now enjoying a beer break after digging out another 20m of yard edges while deciding if my left hand can do another 10m worth of edges today. It's also getting quite warm out there as the mercury here reaches 20C (feels like 15C). Cheers. |

+1 I just got thru taking a nap, a warm one at that as it was 108F outside when I started. If there was another $600 stimulus check in my mailbox, 2/3rds would go on the back bathroom window replacement and the other 1/3rd to my car's steering wheel, a local friend thinks one is coming from the state of California for those who get a check like I do, I'll believe that when I see it. I lost some weight since Aug 10th, 6lbs went bye bye, plus I'm going to have a twice a week Nurse check up on me, blood pressure, my fractured left foot. It'll have been almost 1 month since Aug 5th on Sep 2nd, I may need to alter my left shoe with some scissors to get my foot in the shoe. Technically I need to spray a circle around my home with some Ortho Home Defense spray, but then I have somewhat less than 1 gallon of the spray left which should be enough. Also I should find a short serrated knife and cut away some of that foam I'd sprayed in the bathroom window frame and see where I missed and caulk any holes that I find with some GE silicon caulk that I have here. If I'm lucky those 2 cans of eggs will arrive here, they're $35.99ea on Amazon and SNAP/EBT would normally pay for them, I did try, the FJ frozen breakfast sausage in my freezer will keep. Here's me quite 'chuffed' to have lost 4lbs off my beer belly! Also nicely relieved that just above my ankles has fully recovered with only one minor scar and that is steadily fading. Just wondering if it was more than just mozzies that were chomping away at us... I suffered an attack zone on the one narrow band that was protected only by my socks. Then socks + DEET. Then the final solution of socks + DEET + duct tape armour plating (plus sweat!)... Meanwhile, one poor sod was showing off some pretty good scars up his back that look like medieval torture... Can leeches fly???... See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Making clouds here, outside temp of 84F, predicted high of 102F. Grace has been fed and watered, yep she sounds more like a plant than a cat. UPS is supposedly delivering a package from KY to CA here over night(Aug 30th) to here(Aug 31st), we'll see if UPS keeps losing packages that head towards this area or not. No change in the sofa as it's still here and no rent bill yet and today is Aug 31st too, the rent is due on the 1st. Stay tunaed... I finally got my left shoe on today and with no pain, of course I had to modify the left shoe some with a pair of scissors, I cut along a natural tear, so now I can go look for my 0.10lb package that UPS left on the door mat instead of under it... Now I went outside and looked and it was under the mat next to the rock which I use as a paper weight to keep the mat from blowing away in the wind. As I'm about to go out and dig out some more yard edges the temp here has reached a sunny 19C (feels like 18C), and it's only 10am, while 22C is expected here. Cheers. |

After digging out another wheelbarrow load of lawn edges the temp here has reached 21C (feels like 20C) and I'm ready for a beer break now. At the rate that I'm going this year it'll take me a week to get this job finished, but at least I got 1 of them rainy day lakes in the backyard filled in. Cheers. |
