All points bulletin to all kitties and kittyettes............ First they bomb the world with the coronavirus, and now............................. Last week the flippin' Chinese launched a piece of their planned space station into space aboard a massive rocket. Problem being, they apparently gave little thought nor care about exactly where that used rocket was going to end up. It's going to come crashing back down to earth next week.................destination unknown. Keep your heads up and an eye to the sky, kitties! Chinese rocket to make uncontrolled reentry; unclear where debris will hit: report. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

I really don't trust anything on Fox News, but confirmed the rocket info on other reliable sites, Here is Space.com's report. |

I really don't trust anything on Fox News, but confirmed the rocket info on other reliable sites, Here is Space.com's report. That comment about Fox News was totally out of line and not needed here. Keep it to yourself or take it over to the politics forum, please. Besides that, the Fox article was referring to SpaceNews as the basis of their article. ... confirmed the rocket info on other [more] reliable sites, Here is Space.com's report. Good article and rather dangerously uncaring of the Chinese to not take proper care of where their discarded hardware lands... Note the glib comment: The odds of a particular individual being hit by space debris are exceedingly low, once estimated at 1 in several trillion. ... Yet with a trillion creatures to hit, odds are on that something gets hit on its head... Fly safe! Ouch! That can be done in other ways without the extremes of losing your finger or even an eye as was long ago first done for one of the "James Bond" movies... Stay safe?! Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Study finds shocking benefit of lightning The new study published at the end of April in Science found that lightning may play a bigger role in global climate change than was previously known by the scientific community. "Lightning increases the atmosphere’s ability to cleanse itself," the researchers wrote in the study. |

OOPS U.K. Cops mistook a bitcoin mine for a weed farm Why it matters: Seeing as how the building they surveilled checked many of the same boxes as an indoor weed farm, the police raided the facility. But all those random visitors, the maze of ventilation ducts and the excessive energy use were really just signs that "farm" was actually a "mine" -- a bitcoin mine. In the end, the cops got their collar because the building was mining bitcoin with stolen electricity . |
