For a bit earlier the data traffic was faster then the jam happened again. Is the project using a cellphone network to move data? More users the slower the data transfer.

Lucky.
Very, very lucky.

My brother is a paramedic. He has been on calls where the driver was not lucky. I won't share the photo.

Well that was interesting.
For 10-15min the forums & web site pretty much had both feet in the grave & were ready to just lie down & die. Extremely slow response times to any sort of action (load page, load thread, open box to post, preview or make that post).
Then it did die- web site timed out & stayed that way for couple of minutes.

And now it's back & like a hyperactive teenager.

Edit- typed that too soon, now it's gone back to just one foot in the grave- slow to respond, but not excruciating so like it was earlier.

Edit- and now it's fast again.

Edit- and back to being a one legged dog- barely moving. Both feet inthe grave and ready to lie down.

Interesting Victor.

I’ve been thinking that the site server is suffering old age dementia. It’s great one minute then goes wonky the rest of the day.

Yep.
Timed out & took several minutes for me to finally get through this time around.

A RAID array going bad or pushing storage limits?

It's certainly gets choked up more and more often now.

Cheers.

I think it has gone far beyond that. Surgery may be better for the blockage removal.

And the web site & forums are back to extreme slow motion and flirting with timeouts again.

After my last post the forums went into maintenance mode for a short time, but it seems to be going ok here for the moment.

Cheers.

It would be nice to know what was done during that short maintenance outage that got things seemly back on track again.

Cheers.

I finally indulged in making a few SPAM spread sandwiches. It was quite good.
I took a can of SPAM-lite and tossed it in a food processor. Turned it into a paste. Then mixed in mayonnaise, diced onion and a little sweet relish. Tasted good. If a full tin of Spam is to much. It is also sold in single slice pouches.

My brother was born in a VW in Germany. Didn’t make it to the hospital in time. My dad got to cut the umbilical cord.
