Brilliant. Although these days it's more a case of "I'll be back in 6-18 months to finish the job, if you've got the extra money to cover the increased costs at that time." Grant Darwin NT |

Starters would be the clean up. Just to be nice I would go OCD on him. Then clean a good portion of the rest of the house if he had problems. |

Anyone here remember the TV show The Big Bang Theory? In one show they used a kissing machine as a gag with Raj & Wolowitz. Now a Chinese company has developed one for sale. Remote kissing device for long-distance lovers Grant Darwin NT |

I vaguely recall that episode. Leave it to the Chinese to make more *dumb* things... Especially if they 'connect to your phone or computer' |

Ah Giza, the pyramid that keeps on giving. Scientists discover hidden corridor in Pyramid of Giza through cosmic-ray muon radiography. A nine metre long corridor has been discovered close to the main entrance of the 4,500-year-old Great Pyramid of Giza, with Egyptian antiquities officials saying it could lead to further findings....How much more will it real? Cheers. |

Maybe a few beers too many? Man found paddling in circles on Lake George in boat with sail made from bed sheet and broomstick. A man whose small boat was spotted in trouble off the shore of a lake just outside Canberra had to be rescued by the NSW State Emergency Service (SES).Cheers. |

Now I am feeling old. :-O Pink Floyd's enigmatic, record-breaking album The Dark Side Of The Moon turns 50. Few albums are as big as Pink Floyd's 1973 blockbuster The Dark Side Of The Moon.Cheers. |

Dark Side Of The Moon definitely has that psychedelic genre to it... I can remember when people were trying to play the album backwards in the 80's and 90's.... Thanks to computer technology someone finally succeeded https://youtube.com/watch?v=0uNGl49ykTI |

Years ago when I worked at a university here in the UK, walking past the halls in the evening was to an interesting sound track of Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle, various Queen albums. Then it went boring, but recently I visited another university campus and the sound track was Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle, various Queen albums. Just shows that great music doesn't die, it just lurks in a corner to come bursting out turned up to at least 11. It was probably 'Echoes' the 2nd side of Meddle that got me into Pink Floyd and I probably bought my 'Blue Prism' copy of TDSOTM on the 2nd March when I went home for the w/end at Mary's Music, I know I went home that w/end as the 4th was Dad's birthday. |

3-5-2023 at 11:38 AM - PST This is for any DISH Network customer whom has made use of the DISH Network OTA Adapter.... Can ANY Digital OTA Antenna work with the DISH Network OTA Adapter for the Hopper3, (or Hopper2/Hopper1/Wally), or do I need a specific Digital OTA Antenna? I've just purchased the DISH Network OTA Adapter, and, now, am in the market for an EXCELLENT receiving Digital Antenna. I live in an area SURROUNDED by hills, in the SF East Bay. (Tri-Valley area. (San Ramon, Danville, Alamo....)) Due to the recent hiccup between MeTV, (National Channel 247 on DISH), and DISH Network, we NO LONGER are receiving MeTV. MeTV CAN be had locally, OTA with a decent to excellent Digital OTA Antenna.... However; I want to make sure that my Digital OTA Antenna choice WILL ACTUALLY work with the DISH Network OTA Adapter for the Hopper3 that we have. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated. :-) NOTE: Local MeTV in my area is via KTLN Channel 68.2 HD. I'm currently unsure if my 'HILLY' area will be able to pick up KTLN even with an EXCELLENT Digital OTA Antenna, BUT I'm willing to try. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Issue #2: How far you are from the transmitter site? Use the FREE TOOLS at https://www.antennaweb.org to find what stations you can receive and what type of antenna you will need to receive them. ---- I have used that site severe time when moving or helping friends "cut the cord". The recommendation from there are spot on! |

480+ Miles Range TV Antenna Lol FAKE INFO. No antenna can have 480 mile reception range, especially ones that size. A long enough piece of wire will work as an antenna. There's NO DIFFERENCE between analog & digital other than the encoding/ decoding. |

480+ Miles Range TV Antenna 3:40 PM - PST [@DrWhoFan] Thanks for that! :-) Believe it or not, I even found one that's claiming 500+ Mi Range. :-O I just got through looking at the Site you mentioned and the Antennas. Amazon DOESN'T seem to carry the one's I want from your suggestions, and the one that they DID have was listed at $80+, TOO much for my blood at this time. I'll stick with the one I found, for now, and try it out. Being an Amazon purchase, IF it DOESN'T pull in KTLN 68.2, then I'll return the Antenna AND the DISH OTA Adapter. The DISH OTA Adapter is a small box with COAX on one end and USB, (2.0 probably), on the other. So, you plug the USB end into the Hopper3's rear USB 2.0 Port, and the Digital Antenna of choice via COAX into the COAX Port of the DISH OTA Adapter. THEN, while the Antenna will be pulling in 'ALL IT CAN', via the OTA Adapter, you 'Add' the channels from the 'Antenna List' in the Hopper3, one at a time. So, the Hopper3 ONLY 'Adds' the channels you choose. Once chosen and programmed into the Hopper3, ALL STBs, (4 Wireless Joeys in my case), will show those OTA Channels that were programmed into the Hopper3. The Antenna I've selected has USB Power, (will go to a 'Wart' and plug in to my APC SurgeArrest8 strip), and the COAX that will connect to the DISH OTA Adapter. IF I CAN get KTLN 68.2, I'll also program in CH 3 and 4 for additional Local Channels. 3 is my Local NBC that DISH DOES NOT provide, instead giving us a 'National' NBC Channel at CH 11 on the Hopper3. CH 4 is KRON TV. I'd like to 'restore' these to our Lineup. Once the OTA Channels are successfully programmed into the Hopper3, you CAN even Record those Channels to the Hopper3 DVR Internal Drive. THEN, IF you want to make a permanent save, move the Recorded shows to an External Drive. (Which I have already connected up on the Hopper3's rear USB 3.0 Port, via a Powered USB Hub.) I've been planning the OTA route, as we are NOW 4-Months WITHOUT MeTV! I'm missing LOTS of Svengoolie episodes and movies. :'-( TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! I thought they had stopped broadcasting TV over the air years ago. Looks like I have 20 stations within 20 miles. As for OTA? to me, that means Optical Tube Assembly. How does a telescope help you received television signals? Is that Over The Air? |
