Well it looks like the 2032 Olympic Games will be held down under in Brisbane.

Brisbane all but certain to host 2032 Olympics after IOC announcement.

But with at least 87% of the required venues already in place and no other bidders contending for it it looks like a shoe in for Queensland.

The biggest bit now required is the Olympic Village and a few temporary venues to be built.

Cheers.

If you've got a kid that doesn't want to get their hair cut, you could always try and convince them that this is what will happen to them if they don't get it cut.

How many more would be children will be missing a parent upon birth?
Too bad there's no Darwin Awards category for them since they already have procreated.

Expectant Father, 28, Killed By Exploding Gender Reveal Device
(He) was building the device to reveal his child’s gender in the Catskills town of Liberty when it blew up. The blast killed (him) and injured his brother, age 27, who was treated for his injuries (damage to both knees amongst other things), according to USA Today.

RDH (Royal Darwin Hospital) or DPH (Darwin Private Hospital)- it's a tossup between them as to where this machine is.

Florida City Fines Woman Over $100K for Parking Incorrectly on Her Own Driveway
... The worst part: city officials apparently issued daily fines and never sent anyone out on a daily basis to even ensure she was even in violation of city codes. They simply assumed she was breaking local parking and property ordinances, and let the fines accrue from there.

While Texans thought that they had a bad winter.

Inside the eerie abandoned ghost towns frozen in time.

Incredible snaps reveal eerie abandoned Russian ghost towns frozen in time after residents fled hellish -50C temperatures.

The eerie images were taken 18km from the coalmining town of Vorkuta in the Sementnozavodsky region.

Vorkuta is one of the coldest towns in Europe and was once home to a Stalin-established Gulag prison camp.

But it has been a long time since these properties have seen the hustle and bustle of residents, with snow blasting its way into forgotten homes and icicles covering staircases and sticking out of window frames.
Cheers.

How stupid can people get when trying to look good?

A Russian MMA fighter, Kirill Tereshin, rapidly regretting a surgical procedure to give him huge biceps has been hurt by the pandemic just like everyone else.

A Russian MMA fighter dubbed “Popeye” because of his massive biceps is lamenting his “stupidity” for injecting petroleum jelly into his arms — and the coronavirus pandemic has delayed surgery to fully remove the dangerous implants, according to a report.

“I’m only 24, and my immune system is so far coping with this inflammation, but I really do not know what will happen next,” former soldier Kirill Tereshin told East2West News about his 60cm guns.

Tereshin went under the knife in 2019, but his new girth didn’t matter much in the cage, as he lost to an opponent 20 years his senior — in just three minutes.

Shortly thereafter, he started to complain about problems caused by the implants.

“That is why I started the surgeries to get rid of this nightmare. I bulked up my arms when I was 20 due to my own stupidity. I did not think about the consequences,” he added.

Cheers.

Yes, that really is for real.

Fantastic!

Reminds me of when first using "index matching oil" for an 'apparatus' I was putting together and... Seeing was disbelieving as a highly polished lens appeared to completely disappear. Spooky! (It very much was still there as seen by a laser, it was just oh so spooky that you couldn't see any trace of anything there with your own eyes. Magic!)

Is common sense returning?

Return of muddy spuds!
The logic behind selling potatoes with soil is it helps to block out light and slow down decay and could extend usability dates from five days to 11.

The logic behind selling potatoes with soil is it helps to block out light and slow down decay and could extend usability dates from five days to 11.

You also get some natural healthy bacteria with the soil that feed on, and kill off, the various lifeforms that attack the potatoes that would otherwise cause them to rot.

The next step is to reduce the polluting fertilizers and pesticides that are badly overused...

Live well folks!
