Who said that the Great Barrier Reef was dead? New coral is born on the Great Barrier Reef. Apparently it's regarded as 1 of the best displays ever seen in many years. Cheers. |

Some people can be very lucky. Man’s video goes viral after playing with poisonous sea slug. Obviously no one taught him the rule about leaving blue sea creatures well alone. Cheers. |

Just when you thought things could not get any crazier 'Down Under'...They're not the only wildlife we have here down under that gets pissed on rotten fruit. LOL But I'd imagine that it happens in many other places around the world as well. ;-) Cheers. |

I have seen black bears drunk on huckleberrys in the fall. |

I have seen the migrating Robin's get wobbly and some quite 'stoned' after eating the leftover fermented berries off the tree in front of my house. Afterwards, they will hang out in my back yard or try to make it to the trees on the edge of the cow pasture about 200 feet behind my home here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Texas area. Depending on the weather, the large flocks of Robin's heading Northward take about 2 days to pass through the area starting mid to late February. |

Moose will be just fine.. Moose takes tumble and gets stuck in Colorado basement. Here’s how officials freed it “Officers responded and discovered a moose that had been grazing near a home had fallen through a snow-covered window well and into the home’s basement,” |

The feathered wildlife around here is in full song this morning. It started off with the magpies warbling just as 1st light began, quickly followed by the laughs of Kookaburras, then the sulfur crested cockatoos, wattlebirds and willy wagtails joined in and even a male common blackbird decided to perch on the fence outside my window to add to the noise (the last is an introduced species here, but I've never seen 1 this far north before). Anyhow it should be a good with all that singing going on. |

1 lot leaves and another lot move in. Polar bears take over abandoned island in Russia. It's just a shame about the amount of the rubbish that the 1st lot left behind. Cheers. |

Maybe being called 'bird brain' isn't so bad after all... Crows may soon be Sweden’s newest litter pickers A Swedish startup is training wild crows to pick up cigarette butts and other small pieces of litter. Their method will soon be ready for testing in the city of Södertälje. |

Naughty bird. Polly wants a snapper? Parrot swipes GoPro for sweet views of New Zealand's Fiordland The trip proved somewhat destructive for the GoPro case, parts of which can be seen hanging from the kea's beak before it decamps to a treetop, but the footage (link embedded in article) – obviously – survived and the camera was recovered. |

Watch a clever cockatoo named Figaro play “golf” for a tasty reward So the latest version of the experiment essentially created a cockatoo version of "golf." This time, the birds had to manipulate a small ball through a hole in the closed box and then use a stick to push the ball to one side of the box. This triggered a trapdoor mechanism, releasing a yummy cashew nut as a reward. Completing the task required combining tools (the ball and the stick)—a cognitive ability mostly observed in primates to date. |

The visa situation is unclear, but Danish police are on the lookout for this Aussie. ‘Does anyone know this kangaroo?’ Aussie animal spotted hopping around in Denmark. Though it seems to be staying 1 or 2 hop in front of authorities. Cheers. |

These large, invasive spiders could spread throughout the eastern U.S. New research suggests colorful jor? spiders are hardier than thought, but there’s no evidence they’re a danger to humans or ecosystems. |
