Just smokey here.

If you are wondering about our fires. Here is the current map. Last news I heard they are now the 2nd and 3rd largest in state history. The Camp fire in 2018 was the largest. Either of the new ones could overtake it. The blazes have charred nearly 1 million acres, more than tripling the area burned during a typical fire season.

We really need to do a better job of raking the forests.

The call went out the other day here for volunteers to go over and give you guys a hand, but not being an active fire fighter anymore that's all that I heard so far (I may get updated on that tomorrow at the pub). ;-)

Here this morning I unloaded and stacked a trailer load of firewood, finished pruning my crepe myrtles and 2 privet stumps out front and I'm now enjoying a couple of beers before I go back out and pull my old bed base apart.

Cheers.

The smoke is gone from here, the Apple fire last I heard was 95% contained.

Decades of putting every little smoke out, and then they get so big nothing but the ocean itself can put them out.

Thankfully Waterworld is only a movie and is way off on how much ice is on earth.

On Thursday the struggle continues, maybe in Jan 2020 it will be adjustable.
