Really going to miss Number Crunching, I have read every post here for many years, even when I really had no idea what some were talking about. (especially Linux posts). I will miss you all and my morning sprint to this group. Good Luck to you all and Keep Safe. SETI@home classic workunits 4,019 SETI@home classic CPU time 34,348 hours |

I turned off accepting CPU work on my X4 630 rig a couple of days ago and once it runs out of them I'll stop accepting GPU work so once they're finished off I'll shut this rig down again. I only turned it on in the 1st place to see what sort of RAC I could get and 214K was where I peaked at and I was very happy with that (I really just wanted to see 200K and in the end I really didn't need to turn this rig on to get there). At the same time my 3570K rig was totally out of work so I also turned off accepting CPU tasks on it and let Rosetta (1 of my long time backup projects) do what it wants with those free cores and got plenty of COVID-19 to do. I've also turned Einstein back on (another long time backup project of mine) for its GPU's, but I havn't needed to do many of them as yet. This rig got to a peak RAC of 103K. My 2500K rig is still accepting all types of tasks, but both those same backup projects (in the same configuration as my 3570K) will soon be activated again on it as well (I did have to activate Einstein on the same day as above to keep warm, but I didn't get to do many of them) and this rig got to a peak RAC of 106.5K. Cheers. |

looks like we might get an extra day. The last files they put in the hopper haven't all split. The system is struggling to do any splitting at the moment. |

The rate of splitting is certainly quite low. Add to that it would appear to me that a fair number of folks just "hit the red switch" yesterday without reading any of the more recent posts from Eric which means fewer mouths to feed and a big pile of re-sends from these absent hosts some time in the future Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I'm seeing posts about people getting lots of WUs even in recent hours, but I haven't gotten any in the past 2.5h, since I connected again (a bit of a complicated situation with the connection). And since I'll likely have to disconnect again in 1h tops, till tomorrow most likely, guessing that those that finish splitting now will be all gone by then? PS: Since people are likely to want to get and save theirs these days, shouldn't all certificates be updated to have the same director name and signature? |

I'm watching my tasks finish up on two of my machines. Nothing new is coming in to them. Its so weird to hear their fans slowly spin down task by task. My two laptops and one iMac are too slow to chunk through their tasks so their backlog is pretty big. Those machines will go quiet soon too, though. Soon the room will be cold and silent. |

First time in 21 years that my rigs aren't crunching S@H work units, kinda sad. |

I've still got a load of WU to get through, but now they aren't uploading/reporting. Am I wasting my time working through them? |

I've still got a load of WU to get through, but now they aren't uploading/reporting. keep crunching. They are having a bit of trouble obviously, but I'm sure they will get it straightened out. |

My Athlon II X4 rig has 71 GPU tasks left to run through its GTX 550Ti and my 2500K has 76 CPU tasks to go while my 3570K has been doing other work for the last couple of days. Cheers. |

My last few WU didn't go out right away. Maybe the receiving server wasn't ready at the time. Eventually they went out. I've been keeping my two tower rigs powered on just in case something might come in but they've been running cool and quiet all day. I'm thinking if nothing else comes in by Monday morning I will turn them off for a while. Take a breather so to speak. Then we'll see what the month of May brings. |

It looks like my 2500K rig has picked up several resends for its CPU. Cheers. |

Cheers to you all. It has been quite a ride. |

I have 29 CPU MB tasks left to do on my 2500K now (unless some more resends turn up) and 8 MB + 3 AP GPU tasks left on my old Athlon (then that rig will be turned off and go back downstairs where it belongs). Cheers. |

After a 23 day, just for the fun it, run my old Athlon II X4 rig has returned its last task and has now been shut down and is ready to be put back away. There's 19 CPU MB tasks still to go on my 2500K rig while my 3570K picked up 8 GPU MB tasks, but they didn't last very long, though they did confirm a problem that I was having and that problem has now been sorted out thanks to them (I had a feeling as to what the problem was and now I don't have to do anything drastic). Cheers. |
