It was a pleasure to support your work during the last years. Please make your report public to the group. Thx |

I understand your reasoning, but I've been participating with SETI @ Home since I got my first Mac 5200 back in 1993. (Or was it '94? I don't even remember now.) The screen saver was a comforting old friend over the years. I may be personifying SETI @ Home too much, but I'm going to really miss it. It was the first program of it's sort that I ever ran. R.I.P. SETI @ Home. Later 'taters. dc |

Berkeley. I was just finished putting 4 machines together and discovered Seti was shutting down. I just had solar system installed on home will be online in mid April. The plan was to keep my bill down to run full tilt on Seti. They are being very vague as to when and if it will comeback. |

Very sad news that Seti@Home will close their data ports... Been a member since Sept 1999, but it feels like I was a member longer than that. Still a LOOOONG time. I had a Pre-BOINC client going on my computers. I remember when I did night shift computer support at a plant, We had a Windows 2000 Server, and over several years, I installed the "hidden" version of S@H on just about every computer in the company! Just a quick question, What project is the closest to S@H? Einstein@Home? I want to switch to something, but would like to keep looking for ET's. Thx all! |

it was a great run. i can't tell you how many people have asked me about my "cool screensaver" over the years, and how it led to countless in-depth conversations about ET and the universe as we know it. best of luck with your analyses, and I hope to crunch some data for the project again soon. brad ferguson university of missouri |

There aren't any others looking for ET's :( Eisenstein@Home is looking for pulsars and assorted gravity waves only its not looking for intelligent signals too like Astro Pulse is/was. There are a number of biology/life/medicine projects out there. But nothing that is looking for ET. I would be glad to be wrong. Let us know if you find one!!!!! THE END IS NEAR... Just pulled up BOINC to find that my very last CUDA work unit is currently zipping through my GTX 1060 card. After that I have only 82 CPU based units to crunch. (Though who knows maybe a few more will be sent over the next couple of days?) Sad to see it all come to a halt / pause after just shy of 21 years. Hopefully someone will step in and find some other way for us to crunch SETI data. Either that or maybe they're clearing out everything so we can focus on just a few particular frequencies originating from one particular star... with a new project called DECODE@HOME? I can wish, can't I???? A huge THANK YOU to my fellow crunchers that have donated an incredible amount of computer resources over the years. I do believe we all deserve a big virtual pat on the back. |

Besides the video card, what are your system specs? Thanks, Richard |

I have been trying to do as many units as possible before hibernation. Thank you for allowing us to assist with this project. |

I have been trying to do as many units as possible before hibernation. Thank you for allowing us to assist with this project. I'm trying to get to 7M credit (at 6.9M now). Useless in the overall scheme of things but I like arbitrary targets! |

Loyal SETI@HOME cruncher since the late 90's I already have prepped for your hibernation and pre switched to Rosetta@home for COVID-19 Research When you run dry they will get 100% of my CPU time ! I'll watch for you to send out next data batch. Happy Hunting Bernie from Pennsylvania ! |

Besides the video card, what are your system specs? Thanks, Richard It looks like he has a couple of mainstream boxes. 1 with 4 cores/threads and the gtx 1060 and a Laptop. His gtx 1060 system is doing a very respectable windows RAC of 22,000+ https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=61343 Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
