I wouldn't call mine a monster by any means, and suspect that running SETI@home 24/7 will eventually take it's toll...
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

As long as a system is well ventilated, crunching for Seti won't have any impact on it's life expectancy. I've had systems running 24/7 for over 10 years (and it was power surges, lightning strikes & in one case corrosion that killed them off).
