I mean, it was part of your Commonwealth, until you ceded it to the Chinese. Hong Kong was only a part of the Commonwealth, because during the 99 lease it was ruled by the UK as a Crown Colony and got the same rights as any other Crown Colony. Hong Kong was not ceded to China, it was returned and the end of the 99 year lease. |

I mean, it was part of your Commonwealth, until you ceded it to the Chinese. I'm sure that makes all the difference in the world to the people being arrested and herded into train cars for a trip to the mainland........... ....'stiff upper lip' and all that....... I'm sure that makes all the difference in the world to the people being arrested and herded into train cars for a trip to the mainland...........Why not get your buddy v2.0 to talk to China about Chinese territories. That would be the correct way to do things wouldn't it? Instead of making endless embarrassing incorrect statements. ;-) |

yep, says volumes The politics of Louisiana are known for its entrenched corruption and populism. The State has toggled between Democratic and Republican control since the civil war, and has reliably supported populist candidates of all stripes, including Huey Long, Earl Long, David Duke, and George Wallace. Other distinct features of Louisiana's politics include its calcified aristocracy, use of the Napoleonic Code (instead of English Common Law, like the rest of the U.S.), history of white supremacy, and the divide between Catholics in the south and Evangelical Protestants in the north. |

Louisiana is just a small part of America and it does not matter much to the left coast or the upper right coast where most of the wealth and power resides. |

To be honest I think that if Bloomberg gets the democratic presidential nomination and if Trump is still President in November I might vote for Bloomberg, making him the first democrat I have ever voted for as president. Last time I voted for the libertarian (whoever he was). Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. Last time I voted for the libertarian (whoever he was). That would have been Gary Johnson. As my state will vote democrat I will still be able to actually vote libertarian. However if we had a one person one vote system I would have a much harder choice to make. |

It is just a game of pawns to the wealthy ultra right wing. :( and left wing. But a plane can't fly without both wings, unless it is an ultra powerful F-15. Sorry, just doesn't sound like a good way to put things. Besides, I'm originally from NYS. What about where I live now, on neither coast? Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

Last time I voted for the libertarian (whoever he was). Probably just as a difficult choice as last time. Not Trump equals ... ? Ugh. Let's all kiss the butt of criminal China? :-D :-D :-DWell I guess Trump doesn't worry about human rights getting the deal with China. Meanwhile in Sweden. An important trade meeting between Sweden and China on December 10 was canceled. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states for SVT that the countries have not agreed on a new date. China has previously threatened with countermeasures when Sweden's Minister of Culture awarded a prize to Swedish-Chinese publisher Gui Minhai. China opposes human rights worldwide - even in Sweden. This is stated in the latest annual report from the human rights organization Human Rights Watch. https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2020 https://www.svt.se/nyheter/utrikes/rapport-kina-motarbetar-manskliga-rattigheter-aven-i-sverige |
