Any body know how to edit Vlock into Boinc?
I want to edit Vlocks aistub into app_info.xml

I want to edit Vlocks aistub into app_info.xml

Believe you are running Lunatics applications. If so, you have the aimerge application in the project folder that merges all the aistub files found into the app_info.xml automatically. Remove or move out of the folder any old or unused application aistub files first that you don't want appearing in the app_info. Make sure the VLock application aistub file is in the folder and it should get picked up by aimerge and put into a new app_info.

OK, I have no aistub files in the project folder, except MB8_win_x86_AVX_VS2010.aistubp
Is that it?

Yes, that is the aistub file for the Vlock application. How did you get such a huge app_info if you DIDN'T install the Lunatics Installer? The installer comes with the aimerge application. The way your app_info gets created is that the aimerge application takes all the bundled cpu and gpu applications in the Lunatics package and merges them into that huge app_info. Most of the app_info can be trimmed out as unnecessary for most people as most aren't running a 32 bit OS. I don't have time to whittle your app_info down for you. That is why I suggested only keeping the aistub files for the applications you actually use in the folder before running aimerge. That would trim down the app_info right away to something more manageable. If you don't have any aistub files, I don't see how the app_info was created in the first place. Maybe you should run through the installer again with the Vlock application unpacked into the project folder. Then the installer will pick up the Vlock aistub and put it into your app_info for you.

It refers to the vlock exe as MB8_win_x64_AVX_VS2017_r3714.exe, but the file is actually named MB8_win_x64_AVX_VS2017_r3714_Vlock.exe
That needs to be corrected before anyone tries to use aimerge on that aistub.

Thanks for the tip. I see that. The aistub file needs to be edited and the correct filename put in place.

Why I suggested downloading the installer again and the Vlock package and unpack the Vlock application into the folder and then run the installer. Lot better chance of assembling a working app_info that way. You still may need to do some cleanup in the app_info. Certainly to whittle the size down from the unneeded sections.

Ha ha LOL. Yep it's about this time that Kent signs off from Shout to go game. I just looked at that app_info and sighed. I whittled down Stephen's Lunatics app_info once for him. Probably took a half hour. Didn't really feel like tackling that again. Right now tied up with helping Ian compile the 0.98b1 apps and that is taking a lot of time.

Yes simpler and less chances of fouling up the edit of app_info. Just rename the file to what is defined in the app_info reference file locations.
