http://www.fox26houston.com/news/you-re-clicking-it/they-cant-stop-all-of-us-more-than-250k-pledge-to-storm-area-51-to-uncover-alien-secrets

According to the event, titled, “Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us,” a group of alien hunters will meet at 3 a.m. on Sept. 20 near the top-secret U.S. Air Force Base to coordinate a plan of attack to reveal the truth behind the curtain. From there, the group will “Naruto run” with their arms stretched behind them like Naruto Uzumaki in the Japanese anime series “Naruto,” and therefore “move faster than their bullets.”

The things people will do on social media to try to go "viral" there's no way this can be a real thing...that people are actually planning on doing.

On another note, a veteran friend posted this in regards to the "news"

Unfortunately, such is the fiction of what some believe to be real!...

Is this all some old Hollywood conspiracy?... (Ouch!)

Cue Hollywood flying saucers and upside-down cups and green plastic figures?...

Go figure?

And then we have Science trying to explain to people really what we have and have not seen...

More education needed?

Hopefully, noone gets hurt if there is any mass gathering at the supposed area.

The only response I can think of is "You wanna make a bet?" It will be interesting to see just what lengths the government will go to in keeping the lunatic fringe out of the base.

300K people are signed up to ‘Storm Area 51’ and ‘see them aliens’
https://nypost.com/2019/07/11/300k-people-are-signed-up-to-storm-area-51-and-see-them-aliens/

The Clinton administration couldn’t get there. Russian spies tried and failed, too. But that won’t stop nearly 300,000 alien enthusiasts from gathering in Amargosa Valley, Nevada, with plans to invade top-secret military base Area 51, where conspiracy theorists believe the government is hiding information on extra terrestrial life.

Never gonna happen!

It's an inviting to a computer game online:)
We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens.

sigh from a person who knows two people who have visited Nellis North/Groom Lake/Nevada Test Site. Nice green foam alien at the visitor center.

If they Naruto run to rush the base, only the out of shape finite fans will "run faster" than if they run normally (placebo effect).

Bad news: both techniques are much slower than electrical discharges, gaz canisters or high velocity bullets.

Good business opportunity for the town promoters and party opportunity for the most hardcore fans who I'm sure don't even think about confronting the MPs in the desert. Also a good PR opportunity for the military if they (against all odds) decide to pay the first Naruto Truthers with a commented visit of the lower security areas of the base ^^

Area 51 raid planned in 'joke' Facebook event gains over 540,000 RSVPs - The Washington Post
Half a million people signed up to storm Area 51. What happens if they actually show?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2019/07/13/half-million-people-signed-up-storm-area-what-happens-if-they-actually-show-up/

[=]Speaking with The Washington Post on Friday, Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews said officials were aware of the event. When asked how authorities would respond to ardent explorers who might attempt to enter Area 51 in September, McAndrews said she could not elaborate on specific plans or security procedures at the base.

She did, however, issue a warning to those itching to try their luck.

“[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces,” McAndrews said. “The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.”[/]

Something tells me we haven<t heard the last of this story yet even if the authors were to write "this is A JOKE, REALLY" in big bold letters on their facebook event's front page.

And if they take down their event page, conspiracy theories will make it even worse ^^

What I don't understand is how do you out run a bullet when you are running into it?
I mean do the math. A bullet travels at about 1,909 mph. You can Naruto run towards it at about 20 mph. That is a combined impact of 1,929 mph. If you run faster, the impact is greater!
(Admiral I took your NATO 7.62 round velocity of 2,800 ft/s x 60= 168,000 ft/min x 60 = 10,080,000 ft/h/5,280= 1,909 mph)
Might be fun to fly by and see if anyone really shows up.

How are they all going to get there. I hope they bring a lot of food and all the things that a camp site needs. I want the water concession.

I don't need the math, just fixes for time and injuries, I was a sharpshooter once upon a time, if it moved, I could and did nail it, I'm ambidextrous too, I never missed.
So I'm sure this would be doomed if people ignored the warnings. "Loose lips sink ships" applied in WWII, it does apply to Area 51 too.
