It has been fun over the years seeing the trolling & baiting going on to get me to zip it. :-)
Sadly, I never thought I would see the day where that was forced on me by the system itself. That day has arrived & all because of 2 pieces of correspondence received this week. Funnily enough, they have the same date 19th August, one received Wed morning (which I did not get to see until my hospital visit was over) & the second Thurs morning.

The 1st was immensely worrying. The missus has had a slight recurring problem for some time, so once again, visited her GP. This time around, she was seen by a GP from the GP hub. He had some concerns so made notes & took several photos, then told her that she will hear from them. The 2 page documentation she received on Wed had me laughing, the NHS has a constitution? Laughter ended abruptly on reading the whole document. On the second page was a sentence in bold, please wait until the 21st August, if no communication by then, please phone provided number. This was done at 08:05 Thurs, just got a dumb answerphone message. Recalled at 08:30 with instructions, no real person, just a recorded message emphasising the NHS constitution where once your voicemail with booking ref no & access code, we will get back to you within one day - OOPS...still waiting.
The worrying part? It was for the cancer clinic. :-(

2nd piece of correspondence was a notice of enforcement, which will take place anytime from 2nd Sept onwards.
I owe the tutor who patiently took time to explain some haggling issues I had on the C&G I.T. course I took close to a quarter of a century ago, specifically Excel. I achieved level 2 in Word & Access, level 3 in Excel & DTP.

For those of you who use the N/C board, some time ago, I posted relevant info in Vic's thread advising of what debt can do to one if one does not stay on top of it. I'm well on top of mine, in fact it won't be much longer where, I will finally see black numbers on my accounts program. :-)

That 2nd correspondence is an enforcement action for non payment of council tax for 2016-17. This is where I owe that tutor gratitude. I spent all of Thurs creating a new spreadsheet, entering all Council Tax bills & payments made for the past 10 years & saved it. I then applied all various angles as to what mode of operations the City Council used to arrive at such a moment to send that years bill to enforcement. The spreadsheet has been unable to come up with what they have. No matter what I tried, it showed the bill for that year as £0.00.

The accountant that assisted earlier this year was e-mailed Thurs evening & called me Fri morning. His wife is a commercial lawyer & is well aware of many cases like this from her husband. In fact earlier in the year she was trying to get some of his clients to agree to taking the matter to the County Court. They all refused. She asked me earlier this evening, my answer was yes on one condition. I asked if (we have other evidence that will only come to light in court rather an internet forum) we have any chance of losing? She vehemently said NO. I believed her because she holds the same views as me. The condition was that should the city council at anytime seek an out of court settlement, the answer will be NO, under no circumstances.

Payback is a bitch. :-)
